Some of the speakers expected including wellknown President Trump supporters and conservative right personalities, but most never got the chance to be heard. Tensions quickly escalated. Counter demonstrators taunted police. Sky 7 was overhead as some kicked barricades. Police wearing riot gear tried to protect the speakers from the crowd, but many threw bottles at the stage and shouted down the speakers. Before the event, the main organizer Philip Anderson said he was attacked and punched, knocking his front teeth out. You knock a black mans teeth out. You knocked my teeth out. Reporter minutes later, anderson announced the rally was over. Canceled. Its too bad. But this is what happens when you louis fres lose free speech. Some counter demonstrators felt victorious. I think the fact that they were outnumbered is important. Its tough, right, because i absolutely believe in free speech. But im also antifascism. Reporter rally organizers were escorted away by police. Police released a statement tonight about the incident say, quote, demonstrators began throwing glass bottles, plastic bottles filled with unknown liquid, metal cans and eggs at free speech rally participants. The rally became so violent in nature it was declared a Public Safety measure and shut down. And at 11 00 tonight, dan noyes talked to Philip Anderson, now recovering at home where he is staying. Why did you come here . Whole point, we dont have the right to peacefully protest, obviously. Okay . We dont have the right to free speech. And thats a fact. You dont have a First Amendment right. To the south bay now, where two people are dead and four others wounded after a shooting in san jose. Abc7 news was outside the Nueva Vallarta restaurant where police were still at the scene this morning more than nine hours after the crime was reported. Officers were first called out just before midnight. There is no word on a motive or any arrests. And in San Francisco, police are urging witnesses to come forward after two men were killed in two different shootings. You are looking at the scene in Visitacion Valley when four people were shot at about 8 30 last night where one man died. In a second shooting, a man was killed on Hunters Point boulevard at around 8 00 last night. New developments now. A federal judge will decide if the undocumented man who shot and killed kate steinle along the San Francisco waterfront in 2015 is competent to now stand trial on other charges. Jose Inez Garcia Zarate being acquitted by a San Francisco jury on state charges in 2017. His Defense Attorneys claimed he fired the gun accidentally, but zarate still faces gun charges in federal court. A judge refused to let zarate plead guilty to those charges yesterday. According to the San Francisco examiner, zarate says he wants to plead guilty and be sentenced to prison or be deported. Reporter a home surveillance camera captured a Mountain Lion roaming around a backyard in san mateo. Video released by police shows the Mountain Lion on a deck area around friday at 10 00 p. M. , and then again saturday morning at 6 45. Officers alerted some neighbors by going door to door off alameda de las pulgas. This is the creek area. Reporter sue galloway lives next door to the homeowners who captured the video. She says the streak in their backyards attract deer and other wildlife. When she heard about the Mountain Lion, she wasnt surprised. No. But i was surprised when i saw how big he was. Reporter galloway says neighbors who lived at that same home a year and a half ago captured video of a Mountain Lion. So he is out there. And like i said, he was a big cat. Reporter we spoke to another neighbor who said he went jogging here at Sugarloaf Park and was turned around because of a Mountain Lion sighting here. I was literally stopped by a park ranger. Dont go in there. There has been a Mountain Lion sighting. Go the other way. That incident happened two weeks ago. We showed him the surveillance video. Thisst last night at 10 00 and this morning around 6 00. Wow. Reporter police said they searched the area and didnt locate the Mountain Lion. They issued the alert so residents can take precautions. Well, the lemur apparently stolen from the San Francisco zoo is still under quarantine today. Police say maki was stolen from the litman family lemur forest wednesday and discovered thursday night at Hope Lutheran day school in daly city that same day San Rafael Police arrested 30yearold cory mcgillway on suspicion of shoplifting and stealing a getaway truck. They later found photos of maki on his cell phone and one of the officers who tried to take his kids to the zoo before made the connection. Then the lemur jumped over the gate, and he just come inside. He was there. And then they called Police Animal control. Oh, they are so adorable. Hope lutheran has received the 2100 reward and the trent family has received a lifetime pass to the zoo. Meantime, mick giloway has been booked on four felony charges including burglary, grand theft of an animal, looting during an emergency and vandalism. So cooler for all areas tomorrow and into monday. But then it will be warming up again tuesday and wednesday. And well keep an eye on possible red flag warning for the north bay hills as well as the east bay hills as this offshore flow returns. And then you might want to head to the beach tomorrow, because next weekend, temperatures will be closer to average, and it will start to feel like fall. Another live shot from the east bay looking west this time towards San Francisco and the bay bridge. So there is an air quality advisory for tomorrow. The north bay inland east bay and Santa Clara Valley may still have moderate air quality. But things improve a little bit more on monday. So well keep you posted on that. Lows tonight near 60 degrees. Around the bay and 55 in Half Moon Bay. So we could see some of that fog develop overnight into tomorrow. But the marine layer has almost been nonexistent. And if it does develop, it will be very shallow. Highs tomorrow. Notice even though theyre still well above average, theyre noticeably cooler compared to todays numbers. For example, in San Francisco, tomorrow your high will be 75. So weve had three days of 90 degree or above 90degree temperatures in San Francisco. And san jose 89 degrees. Oakland, 81. And in the inland areas, well see the low 90s. So if you do head to the beach, you will notice its a bit cool were that sea breeze as well. Over the next cengiz day, you can expect temperatures to drop tomorrow and into monday on the peninsula. Our average high still above that. But notice tuesday and wednesday is when it picks up. And then things drop down considerably into next weekend where we might even be below average. Here is the accuweather sevenday forecast that r. We have that onshore breeze. In tonights headlines now, a free speech rally at San Franciscos united United Nations plaza turned violent today. Police say Water Bottles and other objects were hurled on stage as the organizer of the event was speaking. A man later punched the organizer, knocking out two teeth. Yay yay time for a little post workout analysis. I made my first shot. I think thats the highlight of the whole session. You shooting in a shooting machine, it definitely affected your arc little bit. I think you were shooting a higher ball than you typically do, and thats reflected in the numbers. One thing i did notice, when you did make your shots, they were pure. It was nothing but net. You came in and got close to 150 you would see the number get up automatically just getting more comfortable with it. But easily knocking down to 30 shots the next time you come. In all right. That doesnt sound terrible. When you come in here, youre actually getting the numbers. Youre seeing the live shot.
