Our athletes more than ever right now are at risk. Theyre a vulnerable population of covid19 and so the Health Screenings that we provide and the information we provide about covid19 to them right now is critical. We know Distance Learning has been quite the challenge for many and it is involving process that educators and families are working through as best they can. Earlier this week, we heard from teachers and now, here is what some families told ama daetz how it going for them. I still go to work every day. My wife is with them more times than not. Im very grateful our kids are able to navigate virtual learning. Five people working so doing on line is a challenge and introduces a lot of chaos at times. But on the Positive Side i have never gotten to spend more time with my kids. Very thankful i have an employer that enables me to do that, supports it and able to take care of the kids and work a fulltime job as a whole, they are doing well. It been an adjustment for us but were hanging in there also. I think when i was going to work every day, i would first thing in the morning and i would come back at 6 00, 6 30 at night and spend two hours with them every day. Now, im with them all day, which is a blessing and a curse, but im so much more aware of how theyre doing academically, too. Distance learning is a lot better than expected. Back in march when the kids had to end the school year with Distance Learning, it was pretty rough and stressful on all of us so i thought it would be the same way this year but the teachers have done a lot to preapr prepare and been really great. Theyre dealing well. They are focussing on their classes and getting ready to go back to school hopefully soon. At the end of the day, you know, they want to go back to school. We want them to go back to school. But we just want everyone to be healthy and get through this in one piece. So i would have to say they have done a great job thus now coming up at 6 00, the gap in Distance Learning and who is falling through the cracks.
