At this point, i would give it a c minus. I think i would give it a b or a b plus. I would say that the biggest challenge is for our teachers to find a balance between work and life. They are spending 12 or more hours every day teaching, planning, collaborating, connecting with families. Every day im working with a teacher who is crying, because theyre getting all they have and its just really, really hard. Theres some challenges with technology. Theres some challenges with connectivity. Building that teacher student relationship is very hard. You cant see that ahha moment right away, or you cant see, you know, where some students may be suffering. Every day its different. Every day there are challenges and there are struggles, but there are also bright spots and moments of inspiration. I think its going remark my we remarkably well for the children. Theyre excited to see their peers and teacher. Teachers have been very adaptive. With the use of technology. Some that might have been steering away from it now embrace it. Our teachers are already falling in love with their classrooms, even though theyre not physically with them. I had a teacher tell me that one of her kinder gardners was carrying his ipad around with him on labor day. She said i just miss my class and i want them to be with me. We dont know what is to come, but we know each day is a gift. Were hitting our stride. Were fighting our way through it. And with a lot of flexibility and a whole lot of grades, our kids are going to learn. This is not forever.
