And mayor breed did say that elementary schoolchildren could go back to the classroom as early as in month or next month saying she is very concerned about the future of children. But the School District says for that to happen, they need training and protocols in place, they need three month supply of ppe and an agreement with the Teachers Union. The district and the union have not even started negotiating the terms of a return to the classroom. People are pretty enraged about it. Many more supplies and equipment are needed. So this is not a matter of stubbornness, this is not a matter of lack of willingness. We need to know that the resources are there. Reporter teachers say that there will have to be a lot of changes to the buildings before they feel safe to return like hot water and sinks and reliable ventilation. Some parents are concerned about how social distancing will happen wondering if the classes of 30 to 35 kids per one teacher, how do you break them up into smaller groups. The state signing a six month 15 Million Contract with optum insight inc. This will help the crunching of all the numbers across the state and replace the exiting system that in july was called in to question when 300,000 coronavirus tests were not uploaded to the database properly. This system is built to really handle that high volume of test results both negatives and positives. So really enhancing the states ability to not just see where transmission is happening but to understand some of the more detailed nuance pieces.
