We expect about 57 Elementary Students to show back up here. And like you said, this is something that weve not seen so far in the bay area. The private school here started the school year with Online Learning but they quickly transitioned to inperson larning in the classroom when the state 6 california of califd the waiver request. And this again is the first school here in the bay area to receive a waiver to reopen. And Moreland School district in san jose will be starting inperson instruction on september 2, making them the Second School here in the bay area it reopen for inperson instruction and were learning within santa clara counties, 62 schools have already applied for those waivers. But in other counties in the bay area like alameda, they are not even are considering the waiver requests right now. One concern for the School However is enrollment, it has already been cut by half. And tuition starts at about 1,000 a month, but you can imagine that this is a big relief for parents concerned good how they would manage the Online Learning while still trying to work from home. A bill that would stepped the Eviction Moratorium is expected to be unveiled this morning. The bill is sponsored by david chiu and is the subject of nonstop negotiations. Under the compromise bill, it will stop evictions for tenants unable to pay their represent because of the pandemic through january 31. Tenants will be required to pay at least 25 of rent in the coming months. For the bill to take affect immediately, twothirds of both chambers of the legislature need to pass it. And the latest on the wildfires, favorable weather conditions are helping firefighters on the front lines of the czu complex. It is now 24 contained. The fire has burned more than 81,000 acres on the southern end of the peninsula and Santa Cruz County. The massive scu complex has scorched more than 36 9,000 acrs and is 35 contained. And the lnu complex is roughly the same size burning nearly 370,000 acres and is 35 contained. Cal fire says that it is making Good Progress thanks to the extra help from the California National guard. We have 12 crews and roughly 16 personnel per crew that we have on the walbridge fire. So that is good relief for us and well be utilizing those National Guards crews the best we can. The fire is still threatening 30,000 structures. It has destroyed more than 1,000. Sf there is a huge sense of relief for people affected by the czu complex. Tens of thousands are now able to go back to their homes. Cal fire looked at the Evacuation Order for about 2 20,000 residents. One couple has been using their where i think door webell cam t see if their house was still standing. Weve been able to see that it was fine. Santa cruz county office says that it anticipates lifting more Evacuation Orders in the coming days. They have to lift the orders as crews gee from t go from the le to those with the most damage. And there is a map for residents to find out whether they can go home. A man accused of stealing a wallet belonging to a firefighter is set to make his First Court Appearance today. Brian johnson was arrested on wednesday. Detectives say a tip led them to him. They say johnson had already used the victims credit card. He admitted that he had used the credit cards and made the charges. He also sat down and wrote a letter of apology to the fireman.
