A cluster of fires in far eastern contra costa make up the deer zone fire. 1,450 acres southwest of brentwood near deer valley road. Evacuation orders are in place. There is no containment. Counties that land on it have to roll become reopenings and schools cannot reopen until a county is off the list for 14 days. We go from 38 countie t 42 counties. Reporter california finally lifting the freeze on its county watch list, now that the backlog of tests has been cleared. It added five, including mendocino county, but took one off, a county just south of the bay area can think about reopening businesses once again. Santa cruz on friday was removed from the list.
