So if you are getting takeout or heading out, grab a coat. At the live desk, a new abc news poll shows across the board americans are still apprehensive about participating in a variety of activities baucecause of the coronavirus pandemic. 54 say that they would eat at a restaurant, 51 say that they would stay at a hotel, and 78 say that they would go to work. However only 27 of americans are willing to go to a bar, 22 a sporting event and 33 are willing to fly on an airplane. And the politicization of reopening the country is reflected in the new poll with republicans showing a far greater willingness than democrats to do nearly every activity. But you there was only one activity where democrats were willing to do it more and that was attend a protest. Very interesting. And about a third of us are willing to fly right now. So airlines are tightening the rules in hopes that more people feel safe enough to buy a ticket and travel. Of course the economy is just one focus of our effort to build a better bay area. So american, southwest and United Airlines now want you to have your mask on if you are at the kiosk, at the Customer Service counter or at baggage claim. United says if you have an extra ordinary circumstance, you should reach out to the airline.
