Despite our paltry season with very little rainfall all this fog has helped things kind of stay moist. Thats what it does the mist and drizzle of the dampness out there has allowed for us to sort of delay that fire season because we certainly could have been done better in the Rain Department this past year. And you can see nothing but the gray sky there from the golden gate bridge. As we look at live doppler 7 the low cloud deck has been generous. Anywhere from 1,200 to 2,000 feet this entire week and the winds that worked to actually dry things out at least they went from an onshore component from the moist pacific, but they will be slightly northerly and any wind we get does dry things out. As we look to the north this signature cloud its actually an area of low pressure and this is going to allow for more wind coming our way especially for our sunday. Theres a look at all the clouds. Kind of pretty isnt it with the low deck extending into the east bay. Concord and livermore are looking at a clear start. It is 56 in San Francisco, 60 in oakland. Low 60s in Mountain View, san jose, and 50s on the coast. Heres a look at the shark tank, nice way to start the day and temperatures will be in the 80s today so very pleasant there on the warm side but not too warm in the santa clara valley. 57 in napa, lots of clouds and fog up towards petaluma, 52 with a gray start in santa rosa. Gusty winds for the weekend and developing today and pick up again and increase for your sunday. That aloas things to dry out and the fire danger increases but a summer pattern with some warmth inland not too extreme returning for the first week of july. Heres a look that fog. Into the east bay the peninsula. As we get to the 9 00 hour clearing the north bay, by 11 00 weve got a little bit of sun here in San Francisco. Its going to hang out at the coast. But as that front to the north gets closer it will sweep away the cloud deck, and well get some midlevel clouds as well. As we look towards the afternoon, 10 00 winds not a factor. But as we get towards 2 00, theyre picking up. You can see the colors through the delta there. Also through San Francisco a little breezy there with the li valley. We could see winds up to about 50 miles an hour. Today pretty nice with upper 80s for you in our inland valleys. Its been hot and cooling just a little bit each day. 87 in concord, 70 in oakland. Windy later today in San Francisco, looking at monday with numbers returning to near 90 inland but nothing too extreme. Little change on tuesday and were in that typical range as we start july. The winds with us, keeping it breezy into monday for elevated fire danger and then as we look towards the end of the week first week of july looks kind of nice. Well sort of settle into that pattern were used to around here with that fog clearing back each day. Just ahead the peninsula city trying to give local what will be the first thing you do as soon as youre able . At ikea, we wondered that too. Its early. All right, many people are trying to find positive ways to make a difference right now. One oakland dance instructor wanted to do something so she organized a hip hop protest where adults, kids and seniors came together to dance for equality. Dance is an incredible healing art. Its cross cultural, its unifying. When people dance together you just get a sense that theyre leaving their problems behind and theyre happy, theyre joyous. With all this inequality being brought to the forefront i really wanted to do something more, and it occurred to me that what i do is dance so we organized a hip hop class out here on the culdesac and had about 17 people all wearing signs, white silence equals white consent and black lives matter and a great success, and were going to do it more. I thought it was an amazing idea and something weve never done before, new way for me to protest and im all for im excited to get the word out. Hopefully we have more people join us and we make it bigger. When i first saw the slogan, white silence equals white consent, its like i woke up and wondered if my silence was part of the problem. Why not protest and say black lives matter and make more awareness that, you know, as white people we should not be quiet. Hip hop is something so popular we would use that as a means to be able to protest in that way. So i enrolled my hip hop teache some neighbors and friends to come. Little kids and adults and seniors all dancing in the culdesac, all wearing the signs and all enjoying the lesson. And dancing with love in our heart and dancing for equality. And it just femt like, you know, now were saying something, now were doing something, now at least these kids can go back and say im part of a protest and feel really good about it. Everybody feels comfortable and empowered by dance. I would hope that people would really notice that maybe they can do more. Hopefully it becomes bigger and we get more people involved and we turn it into something great. Great idea, and you can check out more Great Stories allocalish. Com, facebook and instagram.
