Coronavirus outbreak at san quentin prison is showing no signs of slowing. According to data, 407 inmates and 47 Staff Members are infected with covid19. And that is more than 10 of the total prison population. According to the department of corrections, san quentin was virus free up until late may. Marin county Health Officer says the surge started after inmates were transferred out of a prison in chino where there was an outbreak three weeks ago. The Health Department wasnt informed until after the fact and the prison does not haves capacity to care for hundreds of sick patients. Concern that we would be potentially using beds in our hospitals that would otherwise be available for our own communi community. Dr. Willis says there are nine Covid Patients in marins three hospitals which have a total of 420 beds. So right now he sddoes not see as a threat to the community. In the east bay, at least 15 people have died from covid19 at the san miguel villa nursing home in concord, this is 14 patients and a health care con facility have been infected. 45 infected patients remain at the facility. Statewide Nursing Homes account for more than 40 of covid19 deaths. The nations Top Health Experts are warning of a disfurnishing surge in covid19 infections. New numbers show a rise in hospitalizations in at least 21 states. The rate of positive cases is rising in 23. Were now seeing a disturbing surge of infections. The fbi says that noose found hanging in Bubba Wallaces garage at talladega was not a hate crime. Video evidence revealed that the noose had been there since last october. The reason was used to pull down the garages door. Wallace is the only black driver at nascars top level. He was signassigned to the gara just last week. Bubba says that he read people saying that it was simply a hoek hoax, but he stressed that this was a noose. Whether tied in 2019 or whatever, it was a noose.
