California is entering stage two of our reopening plan and that means today that some businesses in some counties will start opening their doors, but for limited access. So, napa, sonoma, santa cruz and solano will follow the governors order or at least orders close to it in reopening. Abc7 News Reporter amy hol hollyfield is live in napa this morning. Amy . Hi, good morning, reggie. Some Small Business owners say this is a small step but wish it went further. She needs people to go in and browse. Curbside service just doesnt quite work for a shop like this. She needs people to go in and be able to shop. But only Curbside Service will be allowed. The governors guidelines allow for Retail Businesses that offer Curbside Service with proper physical distancing protocols to partially reopen. So, those businesses do include book stores, toy stores, clothing and shoe stores. Sporting goods and florists. But this boutique owner that we talked to said shes trying hard to make it during these times and under all these restrictions but she says its really tough. I am trying to keep my store alive. Weve reinvented how we were doing business and we built a new web store and were just grasping at straws trying to stay here and havent received any federal funding. Just trying to swim. At the center of the states First Community transmission. This whole thing started in the state of california in a nail salon. I just want to remind you and remind everybody of that. Nail salons are certainly a setting where people are sitting in close proximity to each other and next to each other, across from each other and then adding physical contact on top of that probably osmentes the transmission. Dr. Ann lu at Stanford Health care said that could be part of the problem. Ppe by itself is not magical. It has to be used correctly. Reporter education is during and postpandemic.
