This was like a long line up in the davis one so we just decided to kind of try this one to see if the lines were shorter, and they were. Reporter up front right at the entrance, a man was shot and killed by a San Leandro Police officer. Two Police Officers received a call about a ban brandishing a baseball bat inside the store. Initial reports pointed to a potential robbery. During the detention officers deployed the taser. The taser was ineffective. The same over then fired one shot at the suspect, striking him at the torso. At the same time simultaneously, the second officer deployed their taser. Nderso confirmedhe officersder s dropt baseball bat but he refused. If theres a taser deployment, there has to be some type of perceived threat and this is an active threat. Reporter at least 20 people are being interviewed as witnesses of this shooting. According to s the officer who shot the man is a 20plusyear veteran and now is under administrative leave. And abc7 also saw workers in a mcdonalds in oakland walk off the job over covid19 safety concerns. Take a look. Then the panels roadmap suggests people who had recent contact with a positive individual need to be carefully traced. In other words, a loss of precious time. Getting involved and having therapy at a very young age and critical and clinically shown to help improve. Reporter when the lockdown order came, the California Legislature was quick to pass senate bill 117 to provide guidance and to protect School Districts, granting them the right to waive certain requirements. For example, School Districts are now allowed to extend time lines for assessments. But family advocates say its time to think out of the box. We could make those kids automatically eligible.
