We spoke to several experts about californias icu beds and ventilators. Are we ready for this . They say we are. These are active models. Previously california was projected to reach the peak using death rates at the end of april. The data points to this week. The climax of the coronavirus pandemic in california is expected to hit its peak on friday. This according to the institute for Health Metrics and evaluation. We are at or near the peak. Were unlikely to descend rapidly out of there. Were likely to stay at a low smoldering level for the next week or two. The graph points to a peak in mortality rate. Expected to increase april 15. With 48 deaths a day and decline midmay. Hospitals are looking at the predictions. They are ready. As we sit here today, we are ready.
