One in San Francisco at piers 30 and 32. Reporter this site will not be open to the public. Instead they will be testing First Responders here at piers 30 and 32. Thats going to include police officers, firefighters and healthcare workers. We have the view of it from drone view 7 showing all the work under way setting up this site. They expect to be able to run 200 tests by later on it will be expanded to shelter workers and other people on the front lines. They are taking care of us and its important we take care of them and one of the most basic things we can do is to make sure they have access to testing. ⌞ reporter across the bay in oakland, theres a second covid19 Testing Center opening at the kaiser convention center. This site will include testing for people who are vulnerable, essential workers, Grocery Store workers, and restaurants and those that provide child care. Those will be at appointment only, and you make it through designated organizations and businesses. That site will have the capacity to conduct up to 240 tests a day, and no plans to open that up to the public just on essential workers. Thank you. Swift action and collaboration are two things the director of the Health Department in Santa Clara County said her county and other counties are doing well in all of this. The shelter in place order enacted almost a month ago to many of the six bay area counties has truly saved lives in all of this. She would not give a timeline to how much longer we will be stuck in the social distancing mode, we know many of us are ready to get back to normal, and she said restoring back to normal before the virus may take a while. We have to remember that everybody in our community is likely susceptible. In other words, if exposed to the virus would become infected. When you have conditions like this, we expect a surge. Thats something we have heard a lot about this week in particular. Expecting that surge, not just here in the bay area but in areas all across the country, including new york city. She is looking at how to stop the spread of the the virus in crowded household, where large families might be living or multiple families might be living in, and how do you isolate that person when theres not much room to isolate.
