Rental Assistance Group already helped 76 families. Hundreds also need support. We have a 1,200 people waiting for rent stabs fr assistance from the agency. What they are able to offer is not enough. The city hadded half a Million Dollars to the relief efforts. It can take up to 2,000 to help each out hold. There isnt enough money to go around. Its not just necessarily one prn. It would be the rent for five people. The city put up 1 million for covid19 relief efforts. For rent, Small Business and utility payments. Now its open to digital portal to contribute what they can. Together mv. A portal there you can donate to the rent relief fund. 50,000 has been raised between 300 people since the portal was launched last week. Leaders set up an Eviction Moratorium to protect renters and monday the state did as well. Former mayor and housing and homeless advocate says thats only a temporary solution.
