Difficult days are ahead for our nation. Were going to have a couple of weeks starting pretty much now, but especially a few days from now that are going to be horrific. Now, Vice President mike pence says that he expects the worst of the pandemic will be over by memorial day. And that is two months away. Dr. Anthony fauci says social distancing orders will be removed when there are essentially no new cases or deaths. So, the good news here is that more than 8,500 people have successfully recovered from the virus here in the united states. Everybody in los angeles is now being encouraged to wear a nonmedical mask. This is a recommendation from the citys mayor. And it comes the same day at the California Department of Public Health announced that people are not required to wear masks, but said that they may be helpful when theyre combined with other prevention measures. Volunteers from redwood city are busy sewing thousands of masks based on a kaiserapproved template and they will go to medical workers who face a critical shortage of n95 masks.
