Now 46 deaths across the region. Almost every bay area county confirmed new cases yesterday. Santa clara county reported five deaths in a 24hour span. Thats the most in a single day since the outbreak started. Were also keeping an eye on cases for northern mendocino and lake counties. Mendocino is reporting its third case, although good news, one person has recovered. Lake county reporting no cases. And they are getting technical equipment to fight the pandemic but this morning an Oakland Company is changing what they do. Theyre a 3d company learning to print muchneeded medical supplies. But as Lauren Martinez explains, theyre hitting a few snags. I never thought i would be sourcing medical supplies in an emergency. Reporter fathom is a 3d manufacturing and Printing Company in oakland. Theyre diverting their 3d printing ppe supplies. We reached out to our vendors in china to explore the need for making ppe for companies. Reporter then chinese vendors are sending out n95 masks and other supplies to the company but theyre running into restrictions. Potentially need to pass emergency procedures to approve suppliers because this equipment exists out there, which is simply the dots are not connected between the manufacturers and the hospitals currently. A nonprofit is continuing rehearsals for High School Musical remotely and kids are getting ready on zoom to get ready for the show. All together everyone those are cast members from high school School Musical range from 8 to 18. Theyre part of i can do that theater in danville. Theyre rehearsing online with 50 students with a show supposed to open in may. Vio of them all dancing together with the song were all in this together.
