Reporter Solano Countys Health Officer said tuesday that a shelter in place was not needed. And the problem is that people are overreading the orders. Theyre overreacting. Reporter a day later, the county issued a shelter at home order. The shelter at home order allows people to go outside and take walks but has the same type of business and travel restrictions as a shelter in place. I think the low count of people affected by it in in in n county. I think the timing is right for now. Its important we fall in line with the other counties. Reporter in vallejo one closure sign after the next could be seen in store front windows. The mayor says this is serious and all of us need to listen. The reality is this is reality. This is a pandemic. Reporter and the mayor of vallejo even going so far as telling me that before this order was put in place a lot of his constituents were very concerned over the fact or people possibly coming from other communities to their community to go to businesses. The abc 7 news iteam has confirmed three residents oof a San Mateo County nursing home have tested positive for coronavirus and have been transferred to the hospital. The nursing home is closed to visitors and families. The families are freaking out and also because they cant see their loved ones. They cant see them physically at all and we dont know when we will. But atria and the county say they wont give tests unless the patient shows symptoms. Im not happy about it but i dont know what i can do about it.
