Reporter the jetliner landed safely in daytona after the flight crew used a containment bag to put out the smoke and fire from the lithium ion batteries, a safety device which has become a must have on jet liners. Weve seen more and more of these frightening fires as passengers carry more devices on board, this one in 2018. The faa is also worried about these batteries in the cargo hold, as this test shows, because crews cant put those fires out. The faa is investigating this incident. The batteries were removed.
