kick off super bowl liv in 6 1/2 hours. it is february, 2nd, super bowl sunday. i'm liz kreutz and let's start with a quick look at the super bowl forecast with lisa argen. >> we saw all the blue sky there in the picture. it's going to be a nice day in miami. cooler than what is typical for february. by 6:00, it is in the 60s and i should say here -- out there in the low 60s and dropping through the upper 50s by 10:00. but here we will have much cooler weather, a cold front has worked through the bay area this morning and now we're looking at temperatures dropping as the winds increase. look at the westernly winds out there. and from our sutro tower camera, we have some clouds around, partly cloudy. look at the numbers, as we look at the winds right now, they're getting gusty along the coast. there's a wind advisory until 4:00 tomorrow. look at mount tam, wind gusts of 46 miles per hour and we're looking at over the bay area, 20 to 35-mile-per-hour wind gusts today. and along the coast it could be up to 50 miles per hour. as we go through the morning hours, increasing sunshine and increasing wind as well. afternoon highs struggling to make it into the 50s. by 4:00, we're in the 40s. we'll talk about a frosty night tonight and tomorrow and look at a warmup for the second half of the week coming up. >> let's get you back out to miami and a look at hard rock stadium, the site of super bowl liv. the 49ers will be trying to win the sixth trophy. the 49ers defense lineman nick bosa will be walking in with an extra honor. last night he was named defensive rookie of the year. it was no surprise. he's preparing for the biggest game of his life, so his dad accepted the award on his behalf saying go niners at the end of the speech. for fans, this day has been a long time coming. two weeks since the nfc championship and now is the day we've all been waiting for. good morning, julian. >> reporter: good morning to you, liz, from miami. most fans, they would have been happy with an even 8-8 finish. it would have been a dream to make it to the playoffs. don't wake us up now. we're here in the super bowl. it is game day and everything leading up to this incredible story, the excitement has been incredible and the fans are waiting to see what happens tonight when the chiefs and the 49ers take the field. we've been spending most of the week here in miami speaking with many of the fans that have flown 2,500 miles to make it here to the 305. they are excited, anxious, but they could not be more thrilled to be here and that's whether they have a ticket to get into the game or planning to just be in miami to take in all of the madness around what should be a 49ers win. >> we're just here to be in the super bowlesque era. >> saver every moment and enjoy the moment. that's the thing. >> it was here 25 years ago when we last won. i think the luck is going to continue. >> and hopefully there will be some magic here now in 2020. 25 years later, that comes down to what happens on the field. tonight at 6:30 when we kick off for super bowl liv, i got the chance to catch up with 49ers legend and hall of famer steve rice and -- jerry rice and steve young. they are calling for 49ers victory. but they are saying this is going to be a hard-fought game. this is a very talented chiefs crew as well here, liz. but, the excitement building. 9 1/2 hours out from kickoff from super bowl liv. >> let's talk logistics. when do the gates open officially for fans to get inside? are you already seeing fans showing up early. >> the fans are already camped outside of the gates. they are opening at 2:00 p.m. still five hours. i've seen them cracking open a few beers. it is miami, after all, and it is super bowl liv. >> it's a good place to be. enjoy the day. we'll check in with you later. the last minute rush is on for super bowl tickets and it may be good news for the 49ers. stub hub says sales have increased 25% this weekend. 21% of the buyers are from california which would mean for folks in the crowd wearing the scarlet and gold. 6,428 dollars a seat, 47% higher than last year. there are plenty of spots around the bay area to watch the game. spin san francisco, which you're seeing video of here, will offer big screens, fun games, in the south bay, they will be doing food and drink specials all day as well. many different options around the bay area. fans are doing shopping ahead of today's game. luz pena went around the area and talked to fans who snagged some gear to cheer on the 49ers. >> how many years have you been fans? >> early '60s. >> they are as 49ers faithful as they come. >> this is one of the most exciting super bowls ever. it's the old-time feeling. in the city, everywhere. >> reporter: that spirit has been kept alive for more than 39 years. let's go back to 1981 when the 49ers won their first super bowl. the rhodes have a picture to prove it. to the right their daughter in 1981. to the left, their grandson in 2020. they're hoping history repeats itself. >> i have the purse, the >> reporter: the balloons, check. >> this is the only one that had stock available. so i just -- i hopped on it. >> to stores right after the team one the nfc championship two weeks ago. today there will likely be street closures around san francisco to prevent street celebrations from getting out of hand. starting around 5:15 tonight, mission may be closed. 24th street may also be closed. and muni may be rerouted to avoid the celebration areas. while the games "x"s and "o"s may not be for everyone, many people breaking news from britain this morning. london's metropolitan police say officers shot and killed a man as part of what they're calling a terrorist-related incident after multiple people were stabbed. this is video of the scene. you can see several police cars and ambulances. according to the bbc, witnesses reported hearing two gunshot just after 2:00 p.m. local time. metropolitan police shared this stweet saying a man has been a shot by armed officers. it's believed a number of people have been stabbed. the circumstances are being assessed. the incident is being declared as terrorist-related. there are two injured victims. thr conditions are not known at this time. this is news we're following. we'll keep you posted. they say the neighborhood is fully contained. developing in san francisco, a possible unattended stove caused a one-alarm fire that left two people injured. flames broke out around 11:30 last night. fire officials say the two victims were rescued and taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. >> new developments in the coronavirus. officials are in the philippines are confirming the death of a 44-year-old man who traveled to wuhan. the total number of deaths tops more than 300. there's concern the number of cases in china could be much higher than what's been reported from the country. there are more than 14,000 cases worldwide including eight in the u.s. with one here in the bay area. all of this comes as travis air force base announced yesterday that they will be one of four military bases housing evacuees from overseas due to the rapid spread of the virus. they will quarentine 250 people through the end of the month. airlines are announcing that they're suspending flights too and from china. laura martinez looks at how the virus is impacting businesses. >> there's no business. what's the point going to china? nobody is going to china right now. >> reporter: three major u.s. airlines are canceling flights to and from china, united, delta and american airlines. theresa referred from china saturday evening after visiting her parents. >> it's supposed to be the busiest time of the year. 95% of the business closed. restaurants closed. >> she said you can see the impact at one of the most popular tourism destinations of her hometown. doors are shut, the streets are empty, and no one can be seen in the canal. in 24 hours. thanks. let's get a check of the weather with lisa argen. >> good morning to you. we are looking at some cold temperatures moving in, compliments of some northerly winds. you see the clouds but we're beginning to clear out. the first system has moved on through and boy have the winds accelerated. i'll show this to you in a minute and another reinforcing shot of cold air coming in this afternoon. here's a look at mount tam. you can see how the brush there, the trees are blowing. low to mid-50s. from our east bay hills, you can see the scattered clouds. it looks like it's mild out. if you've been out, you probably felt the wins and you can see the reversal from going warmer than yesterday to cooler where these winds have certainly had an effect on the temperatures already. here's a look from our sutro tower camera. you can see the bridge there in the distance. wind today and chilly and gusty tonight. the freezing cold temperatures tomorrow morning. here's a check of the surface winds. 22 miles per hour in san jose. and oakland is getting breezy, half moon bay, 33-mile-per-hour gusts. as we go up in height, wind gusts of 45 miles per hour. when we get the colors in here, this is to show you that the winds are getting stronger. the wind advisory in effect through 4:00 tomorrow. here is the front pushing through the bay area. a second push of colder air coming through and that will another for even gustier winds. look at where we are now on the coast. 30 to 45 miles per take a look at 3:00. no delays yet at sfo. but it could be a possibility and then we get into the dinner hour. it is still very win. that's why we have the wind advisory through the overnight hours into your early monday morning and here we are at 10:00, so this you would think will keep the temperatures warming, that mixing of the air, warmer, i should say, but it is going to be a frosty night tonight with most temperatures in the 30s as the air mass dries out. not going very far from our temperatures right now. partly cloudy, windy throughout the afternoon. as we take you to miami, it's a coolish afternoon for miami standards, but nice. dropping through the 60s throughout the day. look at the overnight lows, freezing, napa, santa rosa, just about freezing. morgan hill just about to the low 30s. the atmosphere is going to dry out significantly and that will allow for the coldest morning to be tuesday morning where we could see some freeze warnings and temperatures. so the seven-day forecast shows today in the first half of the week, pretty cold, but the winds will dial back by tomorrow afternoon. it's going to be chilly, though. as we go into the second half of the workweek, it's milder and sunny out there. now we're looking at indications of the middle of the price is over $6,000. and overnight, about 1,500 tickets were still available. and for those prices, you get the game and of course the halftime show. this year it will be history in the making. it will feature more songs and more dancers than any show in super bowl history. over the weekend, j.lo invited fans on social media to tell her which songs they want to hear during the big show. as part directly to facebook.com. all right. we have some breaking news out of the south bay. san jose firefighters found a marijuana grow house this morning while fighting a house fire. the fire broke out around 8:30 this morning. there have been no reports of any injuries. the cause of the fire is under investigation. closing arguments in president trump's impeachment case will be held tomorrow with a vote on the verdict expected wednesday. in between, the president will deliver his state of the union address. david wright has more. >> president trump's third time addressing a joint session of congress, but his first since the impeachment saga began. administration officials say he will stress a theme of relentless optimism. he's not exactly shy about mentioning impeachment at campaign rallies, but it's a little bit different in the formality of that chamber. nancy pelosi standing right behind him and out in the audience, 100 senators who will be voting the very next day on the final verdict. impeachment is going to be tough to ignore but also awkward to acknowledge. a real test of decorum on all sides. last year, nancyelosi seemed to troll president trump with exaggerated applause and on friday night in the senate chamber, senator ted cruz appeared to mimic that gesture. president trump is not the first u.s. president to deliver a state of the union in the midst of impeachment. back in 1999, bill clinton spoke for 77 minutes but not once did he mention the elephant in the room. we'll see if president trump follows that example. david wright, abc news, west palm beach. the first primary votes are counted tomorrow in iowa with the iowa caucus kicking things off. andrew yang is getting a couple of boosts including here in california. his supporters known as partly cloudy conditions. you can see the flag blowing there in the wind. gusty along the coast. wouldn't be surprised to see a 50-mile-per-hour wind gust and that's why the strong winds have been our coldest morning will be tuesday morning. here are the sustained winds, 32 miles per hour, half moon bay, up to 24 miles per hour, novato. look at concord. i heard from a couple of folks, no wind, and they go outside, and the wind has picked up. that's how quickly it has happened. you can see it's bringing cold temperatures. yesterday it was 73 in reno and the record high was 66. so very warm
