The Iranian Regime i think wants to retaliate to show that theyre still a contender, but i dont think they want a full confrontation. Coming back home now, new details tonight. A teenage girl was abducted and sexually assaulted on her way to school in sonoma this morning. It happened near altamira middle skoochlt. Reporter before 8 00 tuesday morning, a 14yearold Altimira Middle School student was walking to class when a car made a uturn and parked nearby. She thought the car might be lost and the car door swung open and a male subject grabbed her and drug her into the car. She was sexually assaulted. Reporter and how was she able to get away . I understand that after the asault took place, the suspect drove her back to a different location. Reporter in a letter sent home to families from Sonoma Valley unified school district, the superintendent said the strong brave student came to the office and reported the issue and Police Arrived quickly. While police were talking to the victim at school, a second incident was reported nearby involving another student. Same kind of situation. The vehicle pulled up close to her and tried to drag her in the car. And i understand that she fought back and ran away from the car. Reporter the Sonoma County Sheriffs Department said every unit in Sonoma Valley responded to this area near the school. They found the suspect, a man in his 40s inside the car matching the victims descriptions. I do not know if hes a sex offender. I know we had a prior contact with him. Reporter parents and district employees at a School Board Meeting were disturbed to learn about this type of crime in their neighborhood. I would lock my kids down after hearing about this. So i think a lot of parents are going to be on a total alert. As big as the world is, you know, stories like this really come home to you and i think that everyone will really take stock in this because kids walk to school here. Reporter investigators expect to release more information about the suspect on wednesday. In Sonoma County, im kate larson, abc7 news. In the north bay, this man is freon bail tonight after being arrested following accusations he molested a teenage tennis player he coached. Sonoma county sheriffs detectives believe he molested a girl several years ago when she was 15. Conways accuser is now an adult. Deputies began investigating the case after the victim contacted them in october. New at 11 00, a woman is sharing details about a scary ordeal on a freeway in san jose. She says some sort of an object hit her car and damaged her driver side window. It happened on the lee avenue exit from northbound interstate 280 during this mornings commute. Its just scary not knowing whos watching you, shooting you, trying to hurt you on a simple everyday drive to work. Highway patrol officers examined her car.
