A young student died after some sort of accident on the playground. It happened yesterday is at Mark Day School. And Amy Hollyfield is live at the school with more. Reporter and School Officials say the section of the school where this happened will be closed off today. It happened yesterday around 1 00 here at the Mark Day School. It is an independent private school here in the north bay. Police have not said what happened to the boy, only that there was an accident out on the yard. And that the student died. A retired firefighter was at the school at the time for another event when he heard about what happened. It is tragic. Being a First Responder in the Fire Department for 30 years, that was our toughest call, so Something Like that, it flashes back to times that are difficult calls. Tough for the parents and everybody involved and First Responders. Reporter the school released a statement saying members of our staff witnessed the accident and immediately called 911 and did their best to provide care for the student. They also said that the death of someone so young is devastating. They have not released any information about the boy, but we know that counselors will be here today to help.
