Embassy in ukraine, testified for six hours friday behind closed doors to the House Impeachment Committee that he overheard a call between President Trump and top american diplomat gordon sondland. In a transcript obtained by cnn, holmes says he heard that president zelensky needed to make clear to President Trump that president zelensky was not standing in the way of investigations. Arrows continue to point in the direction of a shakedown scheme led by the president of the United States operated by agents like rudy giuliani. What would you like to respond to the president s attack that everywhere you went turned bad . I actually think that where ive served over the years, i and others have demonstrably made things better. Reporter democrats seizing the social media moment. Designed to intimidate, is it not . I mean, i cant speak to what the president is trying to do but i think the effect is to be intimidating. Reporter in just one tweet, the president changed the narrative of his impeachment hearing. You can disagree or dislike the tweet but we are here to talk about impeachment and nothing in that room today or nothing in that room earlier this week, nothing rises to the level of impeachable offenses. So, bottom line, did the former ambassador detail what she described as inappropriate president ial behavior . Absolutely. As for a smoking gun toward impeachment, just wasnt there, whit. Since she was testifying and might not have seen it maybe not tampering with her in particular but tampering with the overall system. Exactly. You noted quickly he didnt do this when there were men testifying against him on wednesday. No, he was very restrained with george kent and bill taylor, but it was unusual that he did this with Marie Yovanovitch. But not necessarily surprising and what is interesting is this is an entire proceeding that is going to be led by a woman, nancy pelosi, who is in office because of the votes of women who brought her and other women to power. And so, theres a lot of gender dynamics here. There are, indeed. Lets talk about a man who testified late friday up until the evening on friday night, david holmes, state Department Official, based in the ukraine. He is saying as weve been reporting that he overheard a phone conversation in which President Trump is talking to gordon sondland, a u. S. Ambassador. We do want to turn to california, now, the 16yearold suspect in thursdays Deadly School shooting in Santa Clarita has died of his selfinflicted gunshot wounds. Police say that Nathaniel Berhow fired six shots in 16 seconds killing two students and wounding another three. All of the students, teenagers. Authorities say they know of no warning signs that might have come before the shooting and they are still searching for a motive. 16 seconds of terror. Another School Shooting in america. Were going to turn now to a dramatic rescue just in the nick of time. Police arriving at the scene to find a car in flames and time was not on their side. A car exploding moments after a dramatic rescue. Two Police Officers in virginia pulling an unconscious woman from that burning car. Anybody in there . Watch as the officer sees the woman trapped, then pulls out his knife to cut her seat belt. He pulled her out of the car while his partner ran to the passenger side to see if anybody else was inside. Is there someone in the passenger seat . Reporter the two officers along with some Good Samaritans dragging the driver to safety. Thats when moments later they heard that explosion. The car then fully engulfed. Officers say it all started from a single car crash. The rescued woman flown to a local hospital with serious injuries. You can really see bravery in operation. We should say the woman rescued is recovering at a local hospital. Still unclear why she crashed but police say she may have fallen asleep or had a medical emergency at the wheel. The case of the people versus Patrick Frazee ended with a shocker, a surprise witness, an inmate who spent time with Patrick Frazee in county jail who claims frazee created a hit list. On it the names of witnesses set to testify against him. That inmate who has ties to a prison gang testified that just weeks before frazee went on kelseyer allegedlyg his fiancee said he wanted to hireha on handwritten notes frazee allegedly said they all need to disappear and id really like to see krystal with a bullet in her head. Patrick frazee had committed a homicide. Reporter lee admitted she helped frazee clean up the bloody crime scene at berreths condo and get rid of berreths cell phone. She cut a deal with prosecutors in exchange for turning against frazee testifying that he admitted killing berreth last thanksgiving with a baseball bat. You see him . Hes in cuffs. Reporter a prosecution expert testified friday that the amount of blood at the crime scene suggests frazee likely hit berreth 10 to 15 times. Mr. Frazee, what do you think of the charges against you . Reporter frazee allegedly wanted his handwritten notes with the names flushed but he gave them to investigators hoping for a lighter sentence on his own charges. Frazee pleaded not guilty and decided not to take the stand in his own defense. Closing arguments are monday then the jury will begin deciding his fate. Dan. All right. Texas top criminal appeal court friday halted the execution after impending outcry. From lawmakers there is a mountain of evidence pointing in another direction. An attorney for fennell recently telling abc news, his client was not involved, saying not based on any of the credible evidence or physical evidence or forensic evidence. Attorneys for reed say the prosecutions case was based on flawed evidence and that they have new witness testimony that could support reeds claim of innocence.
