It dropped10 his weekend. Cal fire says 94 structures are destroyed. We are not sure how many of those are homes. 80,000 structures are in danger right now. Two firefighters were hurt yesterday. Two of them had burn injuries. One of them serious. About 185,000 people are being forced to leave their homes. The largest Evacuation Order in Sonoma County history. The smoke is thick and the danger has not passed here. But this is the latest scene of the firefight of the monster kincade fire battle. We are on shilo ridge road. Firefighters have been doing battle all night. There are lots of smoldering trees and brush. So much charred earth. E fm movi sonoma coevacuation happening. Deputies going door to door telling people to leave and leave now. It was a dire situation. As far as cal fire can tell, they say this fire was stopped here on the shop of shiloh ridge road. Thats good news for residents. The danger has not passed because the kincade fire is slowly moving to the south. As soon as the sun comes up, well have a better idea where the fire is as air attack also resume again. The other concern was highway 101 and all of the property, all of Sonoma County to the west of highway 101. That was th big firefight yesterday. There was hundreds of firefighters staged along 101 cutting vegetation, standing by with houses in case burning embers carried some of the remnants of the fire from the kincade fire over the freeway. Many people have left their homes in calistoga after the kincade fire began moving towards their community. One man says he is much better prepared to evacuate than he was when wildfires threatened calistoga two years ago. We just have go bags now. We have things for our animals. We dont have kids, we have animals, theyre our kids. We have their meds and all our meds, we have all our documents. I have never seen anything like this branchlthis. Branc branchs all over the road. Things are all over the place. Downtown calistoga appeared to be largely empty with few people. The coffee park neighborhood was ordered evacuated as the kincade fire grew. The area looks like a ghost town. Everyone appears to be done. You probably remember this is the same area destroyed in the tubbs fire in 2017. This area is still being rebuilt. A lot of houses here are still under construction. Our other breaking news story is the pg e power shutoffs. There could be a third round of outages this week. The utility is warning of a strong wind event tomorrow into wednesday. That means much of the bay area will have the power stay off until then. Lauren martinez is following this story. We spent the day in this area, we watched a house completely burn to the ground which was tragic to see and heartening to see elsewhere, as we embedded with firefighters the structure protection that they were doing to make sure this fire, which is growing, 55,000 acres is the latest report overnight. Containment drops from 10 to 5 . These firefighters are protecting structures up in the hills and down the hill closer to more incorporated and populated areas. We spent the afternoon with firefighters in windsor. Embers were blowing in, coming in to attics and landing in backyards and sending up flames. These firefighters quickly put out these fires to make sure damage did not spread, that an entire subdivision didnt go up in flames. Theyre working so hard aroundtheclock. So many firefighters, thousands of firefighters from around the state and as far away as nevada are here to help out as this fire continues to burn and as the run rises we will learn more about where its been and where its headed. The upper elevations, northeast winds 20 to 30 Miles Per Hour wth gusts to 45 Miles Per Hour. Looking at the current wind gusts, this correlates with mount tam out of the northeast, 21 Miles Per Hour. Look at that, straight wind from mount diablo at 43 Miles Per Hour. And Oakland Hills at about 25 Miles Per Hour. Knoxville creek, nearly 40 Miles Per Hour. At the surface things seem more calm. Direction is still out of the northeast. So throughout the next several hours, follow the colors. You can see the double digits here with the wind profile anywhere from 10 to 15 Miles Per Hour. Still breezy, but certainly not as windy. Part of a tree fell on to a group of people at a Farmers Market. Seven people to the hospital. At least two of them had serious injuries. Witnesses say strong winds blew through downto martinez before that tree went down. The Farmers Market and a trick or treat event attracted a lot of kids and adults dressed up. Four people had minor injuries after an old tree fell over in San Francisco and damaged a house. The four injured workers were painting a fence when the wind toppled the tree yesterday morning. Firefighters had to cut through branches to free one of the workers who was protected from serious injuries because of the crushed fence. Residents say they had petitioned the city to remove the tree but werent able do it because the city declared it a heritage tree. They do not want us to remove this tree because the tree has been here longer than the house has been here. Our home was built in 1922. The tree has been here longer than that. One of the workers was treated for a leg injury and another for cuts to his face. These San Francisco fihaws t hoses. Abc7 news was on guerrero as a large pepper tree was cut up that crushed a car.
