The countrys Supreme Court ruled Prime Minister Boris Johnsons suspension of parliament was illegal and void. That ruling means parliament is still technically in session. Johnson suspended parliament as part of his effort to force britain out of the European Union on october 31st. However, hes faced a fight from some lawmakers who are trying to delay that exit until theres a deal with the eu. Johnson says he disagrees with the decision and is considering suspending parliament again. New developments in an amber alert issued by chp over the weekend. A young boy and his father from Merced County have both been found dead. 2yearold john weir and 32yearold steven weir were found dead in a car. The Sheriffs Office said he appeared to have abducted his son over the weekend from his estranged wife. A controversial Homeless Navigation Center in San Francisco is moving forward it. The center is under construction along the embarcadero and will open some time in november or december. Safe embarcadero for all said it has to be used for the good of the public. They worry neighbors safety will be put at risk. But a judge denied the petition to prevent the center from opening. If San Francisco is unable to open the Navigation Center or if the opening is delayed, the city wrote, hundreds of people whom the Navigation Center would serve will instead remain on the streets. Right now theyre blowing around 22 Miles Per Hour so the critical fire conditions arent as bad as they could be. Reporter hi, good morning. Napa county has power right now but could lose it today. Sonoma and lake county also face the same threat. It is going to be hot again. Pg e will be watching the weather. Sonoma county activated its Emergency Operations center yesterday. Officials say they need to be ready for issues that a power outage could create. Pg e says the weather is expected today to be hot and dry and windy and it could force them to shut off the power to try and prevent fires from starting. Tuesday morning well take a look at the weather conditions and well make a decision whether we will need to shut off the power in those areas for safety. If pg e decides to do it, were looking at 33,000 residents without power. That will obviously create an increased call for servic it could impact traffic, increase those people that have access and functional needs. We have to go with the flow. Thats the only thing we can do at this time. Reporter people are preparing. Hardware stores are selling out of generators as people look for ways to keep their lights on during these outages. Another big seller, batteries. Pg e says if they decide to shut off the lights, they wont be able to say how long it will last. They will only be able to announce it is happening. The posted speed limit is 25 miles an hour, but this intersection is riddled with speeding cars and ignored stop signs. Neighbors say they want changes before an accident happens. The Citys Department of xplo traffic concerns as the grows. Happening today another parent involved in the College Admissions scandal will be sentenced. The Santa Clara County sheriffs transit patrol will be conducting that crackdown right here starting at 7 00 a. M. Theyll be targeting cars, pedestrians, and people on bicycles who ignore the warning lights and safety warnings at the crossing. The crackdown is in conjunction with the launch of vtas annual Safety Campaign during rail safety month. This Years Campaign is rather urgent and in direct response to two incidents over the summer. President Donald Trumps administration is threatening to freeze federal highway funding and impose other sanctions on california. This stems from the epa accusing the state of failing to submit air pollution control plans. The epa sent a letter warning california that it could lose funding, and its just the latest dispute between the president and california over climate change. That fight escalated when california sued the federal government over plans to revoke the states own emission standards. And people are still talking about the passionate speech made by a 16yearold climate activist before the United Nations yesterday.
