New this morning, two people are in the hospital after a fire broke out at a care home on massachusetts drive in san jose. The fire started just after 4 00 a. M. On the back porch, spread to the roof and into the home. Seven people were inside at the time, two caregivers and five elderly patients with disabilities. Two of the paushtients were tak to the hospital to be evaluated. The cause of the fire is being investigated. No one was seriously hurt. Cal fire crews are watching six fires burning in the hills east of milpitas this morning. This morning the fire is 40 contained, 188ed a ver ed acres burned. The cluster of fires has been burning since noon yesterday in an open grassy area. The Spring Valley fire chief notified cal fire after seeing several columns of smoke. No homes or buildings are threatened in neighbors are prepared to evacuated. Theres concern for our homes and our firefighters are not ruling out the possibility of arson. Pg e is warning residents os possible outages affecting sono sonoma, napa, marin and lake counties. On friday residents got a notification with 100 hours notice, thats twice the normal lead time.
