Kelly later tweeted he meant no disrespect to the students or parents of parkland, florida and called his original claim an error in judgment. Reporter answering questions for the First Time SinceRobert Muellers sweeping indictment, of 13 russians for meddling in the election, the White House Press secretary was pressed on why the president hasnt forcefully condemned russias actions. The president hasnt said the russians didnt meddle. Hes saying it didnt have an impact and it certainly wasnt with help from the trump campaign. Its very clear russia meddled in the election. Speaking of the russian probe, a 33yearold lawyer is now the fourth person to plead guilty in the special counsel, Robert Muellers investigation. Alex van der swaan admitted to lying to investigators about former campaign aide, rick gates. He admitted he deleted email records that prosecutors sought. His guilty plea could increase pressure on gates and Paul Manafort who was one of the president s campaign managers. And we have new details on secret talks between the u. S.
