Weve moved to the upper harbor. This is an area that was just destroyed by the 2011 tsunami, and here i want you to take a look behind me. Theres hardly a ripple. This morning we have not seen any major waves but it was a very tense morning for folks who live onboard boats in the harbor. The harbor master went around boat to boat giving warnings there could be a tsunami coming and that they should be prepared. Today the National Weather service says that the west coast will be spared. Theres not expected to be any damage or destruction. The harbor master did take other precautions like turning off the gas stock to alleviate any potential fuel leaks and alerted staff like the dredge crews and brought them in as needed. The biggest waves were predicted between 5 30 and 6 15 this morning. Authorities expect there will be some extra currents in the water and are advising people to exercise some caution by the ocean but, again, as you can tell right here the upper harbor everything is very calm and we have not seen any significant waves or ripples to speak of. An officer called and told me the only person he wants to talk to is his daughter. His family says he is not a criminal and his behavior changed after he started using drugs. The city of San Francisco has settled a federal lawsuit with the family of a guatemalan immigrant shot and killed in 2015. His parents filed a suit alleging eyewitness accounts and other evidence do not support the explanation police fired on him in selfdefense. They say officers responded to a report of a man allegedly perez lopez, wielding a knife, chasing another man near folsom and 24th. The terms of the settlement are not being made public. This was the scene early yesterday morning it the eastern oklahoma town of quinton about 100 miles southeast of tulsa. Flames and smoke from the explosion at a natural gas site could be seen for miles. 22 people were on the rig when the incident happened. One had to be flown to the hospital for burns.
