Its beginning to look a lot like a Holiday Travel week because were seeing images like this after the storms of yesterday in the northeast now we have the lakeeffect snow. Erie county, pennsylvania, visibility is down thanks to lakeeffect snow. And look at the spinouts in ohio, thanks to lakeeffect snow bands. Thats going to be the issue going into monday. If you have travel plans the lakeeffect snow warnings for utica, syracuse, up to 4 to 8 inches of snow. But we have seen flurries as farreaching as here in manhattan, thank to those lakeeffect snow bands. Then you skip over tuesday because not a lot happens but by wednesday when everybody is on the roads and everyone is starting to fly, i95 may see that clip of a coastal storm that will give us rain, some inland snow for interior new england. And then a wet one for parts of northern florida, south georgia and finally the Pacific Northwest, two storms deal with this week. Our Biggest Issue there would end up being some of the high rain totals. Two to three inches and snow in the northern rockies. President trump weighed in overnight repeating his call to build a border wall and tom llamas here with the latest. Good morning, tom. Reporter george, good morning. Weve been following the story since overnight. Texas leaders including Governor Abbott describing this as an attack. U. S. Border patrol and fbi are launching a full investigation for potential suspects after a border agent was killed in the line of duty. This all happened in west texas near interstate 10 in the big bend sector along the u. S. mexico border. Its a dusty stretch of highway about 100 miles east of el paso. Now, officials tell us agent Rogelio Martinez , 36 years old and his partner were responding to activity while on patrol. His partner said they were both injured and in need of assistance. Responding agents provided immediate medical care and transported both to a local hospital where martinez later died. Still not clear what actually happened to the agents and there are reports there were no shootings involved, but were still trying to figure out what happened. Meantime, the president did tweet on this overnight, repe repeating his call for a board wall. Right now Congress Shows no willingness to fund it but they are building prototypes. Reporter no, no, definitely. That is exactly right. Six companies built eight different prototypes. We have some videos of those. This is one of his keystone promises, that border wall. Along the southern border. These prototypes have to meet certain requirements in height and how deep they can go. But, george, youre right. A lot of critics call this just political theater, because they dont have the funding for it. Whats the cost of the proto type . 300,000 to 500,000 each, so its a pretty penny. But the wall is billions . Yeah. True. Now to that exclusive new reporting on the russia investigation. Abc news has learned that special Counsel Robert Mueller is reaching into the Justice Department asking for documents on President Trumps decision to fire fbi director james comey. Our senior justice correspondent Pierre Thomas is in washington with that story for us. Good morning, pierre. Reporter good morning. Mueller continues to investigate aggressively, apparently wanting to know more about the circumstances of comeys firing and not even the Justice Department are immune. Special Counsel Robert Mueller turning to the Justice Department as his investigators dig into whether President Trump or anyone else tried to derail the ongoing probe of russian interference into last years election. Although he has not criticized mueller recently, the president has not hidden his disdain for the russia probe. The entire thing has been a witchhunt. Reporter abc news has learned in recent weeks muellers team asked the Justice Department, turn over emails and other documents relating to attorney general Jeff Sessions recusal from the russia investigation. And President Trumps subsequent decision to fire comey as fbi director. So far, sessions has refused to publicly discuss what trump told him about axing comey. The Justice Department and the special counsels office declined to comment but sessions has said he will cooperate with the special counsel. Were learning the publicist that set up the don jr. Meeting at trump tower, that publicist is set to talk to mueller and his team . Thats right. Rob goldstone told the sunday times that hes keen to talk and put his recollections on the record. And jared kushner, who attended that meeting has recently been accused by Senate Leaders of withholding information about additional contacts with the russians. But kushners attorney said hes cooperating fully and kushner rejected additional offers of meeting with the russians. Robin . It continues. Thank you. Mueller now reaching into the Justice Department also reaching pretty deep now into the white house. It is clear the president is also being investigated. Reporter yeah, he just a few days ago, said he himself is not under investigation. But i mean as you say, certainly his top aides, his close advisers are definitely part of this probe. In fact, in just the coming days, we know that one of his closest aides, the Communications Director hope hicks, will be sitting down with muellers investigators, same for the white House Counsel don mcgahn. George, publicly no one here is saying theyre nervous. This is business as usual for this white house. Privately everyone here has lawyers. You cant imagine its not front and center in many minds. Here at this white house. Absolutely. Matt dowd, you know this from experience as well. And i ran into a trump associate yesterday who said, once you get to this situation inside the white house, its every man for himself. Absolutely. Theyre all going to be looking for their pathway exit out but the problem is everybody in the Trump Organization from the president on down said theres been no contacts with the russian, had said there was no contacts with the russians. We now know theres been 30 or 40 plus contacts they figured out. Either there is mass amnesia or the russians have a neuralizer from men in black. They click every time they meet with the russians. Lets talk about roy moore as well. Pretty clear over the weekend on this week i had the president s legislative director marc short on there. They want this issue with roy moore, these questions about roy moores accusers to just go away. Reporter yeah, george. They want to talk about tax reform this week. I mean, this is front and center of their legislative agenda. But you pushed marc short repeatedly during that interview as we have here at the white house to push aides to ask whether the president is comfortable with roy moore being the next sitting senator from alabama. And you cant get a straight answer here. I was struck by another aide who on the sunday shows said that he doesnt know the president doesnt know who to believe when it comes to roy moores or his accusers. So a lot of questions still we havent heard directly from the president on this one yet. This is a lose lose for the white house. Its absolutely a lose lose for the white house. The president i think in the midst of all this, every single step he seems to make in this is like his tweets yesterday are a perfect example of how he only hurts himself in this. Jeff flake, he attacked jeff flake whose vote he needs. And he goes after lavar ball and says, basically, you should leave the basketball players in china in the midst of this. Now to the race against time to find that submarine missing for days in stormy waters off the coast of argentina with dozens of crew members on board. Overnight u. S. What happened to that submarine is a mystery. There is concern that it is without power. But authorities dont even know if its at the surface or if it has sunk with oxygen supplies running out. And the weather is so bad off the coast, the search can only be conducted by air. This morning, rescuers battling fierce weather conditions, desperately searching for the missing submarine and its 44 crew members. The Argentine Navy command last officially heard from the a. R. A. San juan seen in this video five days ago, when it was nearly 270 miles off the coast of patagonia. Search crews rushing in from at least seven countries. The u. S. Navy sending some of the most cuttingedge underwater technology to help including equipment that can search at depths of 5,000 feet for up to 30 hours. And another that can bring six people to the surface at a time. If the sub that runs on both diesel and Battery Powered electric motors is underwater and without power, time is running out. The problem here is although the navy is sending its best rescue gear, if you dont know where the submarine is, you cant effect that rescue. Reporter winds over 40 Miles Per Hour and 26foot waves hampering search efforts. And this morning, the search area has expanded to over 186,000 square miles. Thats bigger than the state of california and is four times larger than the search area for missing malaysia airliner mh370 which disappeared over the indian ocean three years ago. And it has been a roller coaster ride for the families of these sailors. On saturday the Argentine Navy said it had detected seven failed calls from the missing submarine. This morning, it now says it cant trace those calls or confirm they came from the submarine. Robin . Oh, my goodness. Many are hoping they have enough supplies to survive, linzie. We showed them how to use cardboard, bottle caps, what we could find to play with and tell them like these are toys. This is we can make a game with this. She believe the guards put something in her food to force a miscarriage of an unborn daughter. What she and her husband call a forced abortion. A fiveyear hostage taking is too long. One day, they came into the cell and they took my husband out forcefully dragging him out and thats when the assault happened. Its thanksgiving week. You know, there are a lot of people that are trying to get into that into that spirit. How can you help us do it. The fastest way is to get outside yourself. All the stress people have at home because we have a 2 Million Dollar brian that is designed to look what is wrong. If you let it run the show instead of your heart youll be in trouble. They start react. We used to worry about sabre tooth tigers. Nothing like that. So people think of us, how will my mom respond to my date or argue with my brother so i tell people the fastest way to get out of it is to trade expectations at how things are supposed to for appreciation of what you have. I work with feeding america. When i was 11 we had no food for thanksgiving. And we were fed so when i was 17 i fed two families, four, eight, got to a million, 2 million, 4 Million People and interviewing for my new book these 50 brilliant people, Warren Buffett and cut food stamps by 7 billion. That means every family that gets help has to give up food for a whole week every month if we dont step in. I thought what if i fed 50 Million People a year so im feeding a billion people over seven years in partnership and weve already said weve already fed 300 million. 100 million every year, 80 million this year and reaching out, anyone watching, if you want to get in the spirit, all the Research Shows if you do things for yourself, you feel okay. But even a child, if you let them give away their toy or give away their goodies theyre more excited and test your chemistry to show. Ill match any amount you give to splash tony robbins. We want to do another 20 million meals before the end of the year. [ applause ] wonderful. Also i want to put this down. Whenever youre here you always give us a Little Something to walk away with and to help us to get into that because we want to pay it forward just like how you are doing so help us with an exercise. One thing to do realize focus equals feeling. When people think about the holidays they think about all the time, the time crunch. You dont have a Pressure Cooker for the turkey but for the feeling too. Ask better questions. If i said to all of you, just try it. Something simple and said what are you grateful for in your life . Thats what thanksgiving is about. Think of something or someone youre grateful for for a moment. Who can think of something youre grateful for, a moment or experience. Close your eyes and for a moment, think about that moment and step in like youre there like youre seeing as it was happening and breathing how youre grateful. Whats the look on your face when youre overwhelmed with gratitude or joy. Raise your hand if you can feel that feeling now. Try another one. Think of something you could feel really proud of and i dont mean eagle proud. But proud of your children or proud of yourself because youve really done something. How do you breathe when youre proud. If youre a little kid and proud what shows up on your face. You dont hide it. When you can feel that proud. And then do one more real quick. Try excitement. If you really want to be excited about something, how many can think of something you could be excited about. So just focus on it. Focus, where focus goes energy flows. Focus equals feeling. If you want to be prepared for thanksgiving think of your family in advance and oh, my god, what is going to happen. What do i love about them. What made us laugh our guts out or made us feel so close. Youve primed your brain to react in a different way than the stress way. We can do this. [ applause ] were excited.
