To gather information on his accusers, including rose mcgowan. Now the reporter who broke the story is here live. And Security Breach. A man caught on camera jumping onto a baggage belt at miami international. Running across the tarmac before quick thinking workers tackled him. Now the investigation, how did he get through so easily. Good morning, america. Welcome back this Tuesday Morning. It has already been a busy tuesday for President Trump in south korea. Were going to show you right there, there he is with the south korean president making some interesting provocative comments about north korea suggesting the possibility of a deal. A lot going on for the president today. Just before that meeting with the south korean president , the president dined with our troops over there. There he is sitting in the mess hall with the soldiers. We will have much more on the president s trip just ahead. First we want to get to those new details about the Deadly Church shooting in texas. This morning there are serious questions about how the gunman was able to buy firearms despite his history of Domestic Violence. And were hearing now from the survivors who made it out of the shooting alive. Our Senior National correspondent matt gutman spoke with them and starts us off in Sutherland Springs. Good morning, matt. Reporter hey, good morning, george. We knew the slaughter was bloody what we learned from those survivors how methodical devin kelly was. They said they only saw his boots and heard him say one thing. Everybody is going to die. This morning the scale of the horror inside that shoe box sized church shocking. I can tell you the scene is horrific. Reporter survivors described the terror as the murderer stalked the house of worship. People screaming and crying. Kids crying. Reporter this woman arriving home embraced by family members. I wasnt about to get out where i was hiding. Reporter was there anyone trying to get away . There was no one to go. Reporter she said the shooters only words were everybody dies. Did you play dead . Yes, i did. I made sure i hid myself good under the bench. Reporter this morning ms. Brown and other victims remain hospitalized. We spoke to her son david. The shooter was shooting at everybody he could see. After everybody wasnt moving he walked up and down the aisles shooting. Reporter brown telling us his bullet poked cell phone saved her life. The holcombs were a whole family. If youre in christ jesus you have a ministry. Reporter more may have died if not for this man who opened fire. Theyre friends of mine. Theyre family. Every time i heard a shot, i knew that probably represented a life. I was scared to death. Im no hero. I am not. I think my lord, my god protected me and gave me the skills to do what needed to be done. I just wish i could have got there faster. Reporter this man chased the suspect along with mr. Linger ford showing video on his cell phone. You can see the Police Moving in . Yes. Reporter just over that left divider they would find the killer dead. Overnight those two heros seeing each other for the First Time Since the shooting falling into an embrace. This is a Tiny Community reeling from an enormous loss. Perhaps the biggest gut punch is the entire holcomb family. Grandparents, parents and four children. Three generations wiped out. What seems to anger people most is the fact that devin kelly should not have been allowed to buy the weapons in the first place. Robin. Matt, that is what were going to discuss right now, that the demand for answers after that air force bombshell, that they didnt tell the fbi about the gunmans history of Domestic Violence enabling him to purchase those weapons he used in the rampage. Our senior justice correspondent Pierre Thomas has more. Joins us from washington. Good morning, pierre. Reporter robin, good morning. Theres no soft way to put it, the killer should never have been able to buy the Assault Rifle used to massacre all those people. In april of 2016 devin kelley walked into this Academy Sports outdoors store in san antonio and bought a ruger Assault Rifle. A background check was done on the purchase. It came back clean and the sale of the weapon used to kill all those parishioners went forward. It should have never happened. There was no prohibitive information in the systems that we checked that say he could not have purchased that firearm. Reporter these new documents obtained by abc news military prosecutors outlined the details of kelleys dark past. The Court Records show the former airman pleaded guilty to repeatedly punching, kicking and choking his then wife. And another shocking charge, hes accused of striking his infant stepson on the head and body with a force likely to produce death or grievous bodily harm. As part of the pleading, the courtmartial dropped charges he pointed a loaded gun at his wife on multiple occasions. The conviction should have banned him from being able to buy the rifle. The air force last night admitted they never forwarded that information to the fbi which maintains the database used for those background checks. We have to get to the bottom of why that did not happen. Yes, there are a lot of questions the air force has to answer. Reporter this morning investigators searching for some of those answers in this tiny church and the staggering aftermath of kelleys rampage. A substantial amount of evidence, physical evidence has been collected including hundreds of shell casings, more than 15 magazines, 30round capacity magazines have been recovered. Reporter and new insight into a possible motive. Again allegations of Domestic Violence. With Police Suggesting kelley may have gone to the church to hunt his motherinlaw who allegedly received threatening Text Messages from the killer. There are many ways that he could have taken care of the motherinlaw without coming with 15 loaded magazines and an Assault Rifle to a church. I think he came here with a purpose and a mission. Reporter while kelley may have been after his motherinlaw, theres evidence that everyone in the house of worship was a target. Authorities have now studied video from inside that church. One official telling abc news the gunman came to the church to, quote, kill everyone in that building, period. He was a mass killer of children, hes a horrible monster, end quote. Guys. And, pierre, how does the military know there arent others who havent been flagged and could be out there right now . Reporter michael, we dont know if there are other cases like this falling through the cracks. The military is launching an investigation to make sure there are not more mistakes like this. All the services will be studied. Michael. Guys. Thank you, pierre. Good to know. Now to the latest on President Trumps trip to asia. The president and first lady arriving in south korea overnight. Meeting with troops and sending a new message to north korea as the country promises to increase their nuclear power. Our chief White House Correspondent jon karl is in seoul with more. Good morning, jon. Reporter good morning, robin. The president called north korea a worldwide threat requiring worldwide action, but in a major shift, he expressed optimism for a diplomatic deal. Not long ago the president called talking to north korea a waist of time. Not anymore. I really believe that it makes sense for north korea to come to the table and to make a deal thats good for the people of north korea and the people of the world. Reporter hes not ruling out military action but the president is acknowledging the steep cost of war on the korean peninsula. We sent three of the largest aircraft carriers in the world and theyre right now positioned. We have a Nuclear Submarine also positioned. We have many things happening that we hope we hope ill go a step further. We hope to go we never have to use. We hope to god we never have to use. Reporter meeting with south koreas president just 35 miles from the north korean border, the president has ditched the bellicose rhetoric about north korea. No more taunting of rocket man kim jongun, no talk of fire and fury. Instead, hope for diplomatic progress. I do see certain movement, yes, but lets see what happens. Reporter in his first visit here as president , he was welcomed by south koreas president moon who took office earlier this year urging a less confrontational approach to dealing with kim jongun. The president s newly diplomatic and hopeful tone was also on display at camp humphries, a joint u. S. South Korean Military outpost not far from the border with north korea. Ultimately itll all work out because it always works out. Has to work out. Reporter even as the president talked up diplomacy, he seemed to surprise south koreas president by saying that south korea would soon be buying billions of dollars in u. S. Made weapons. There were no arm sales that were announced but the president predicted that they would come and they would bring lots of american jobs. Robin. Well see. All right, jon, thank you. Were going to get the latest now on the russia investigation. Revelations from former Campaign Adviser carter page and several hundred pages of testimony before the house intelligence committee. He details contacts with russians on a trip to moscow and what he told several other Campaign Officials about those contacts before and after the trip. Our Congressional Correspondent mary bruce is on capitol hill with the details. This blows apart the Trump Campaign denials of any contact with russians during the campaign. Reporter george, this testimony is certainly raising a lot of questions about those previous denials. During seven hours of testimony here on the hill, it became clear that senior members of the trump team knew about a 2016 trip that carter page made to moscow and that page may have had more interactions with russian officials than he previously disclosed. At the time page sent an email to fellow trump aides in which he said that during the trip, he had been provided with, quote, incredible insights and outreach by russian lawmakers and senior members of putins administration. And, mary, several months back i talked to carter page about it. And heres what he said. Theres a lot of focus on the trip you took to russia last july. You met with russian academics youve said. You also met with people in the business community. Did you meet with anyone in the russian government or connected to russian intelligence . I said hello briefly to one individual who was a board member of the of the new Economic School where i gave my speech. Mary, we know who that official is now. Reporter we now know the official he was referring to was actually the Russian Deputy prime minister. At the time page wrote that he, quote, expressed strong support for mr. Trump and a desire to Work Together toward devising Better Solutions in response to a vast range of Current International problems. Now, george, page still insists it was just a brief interaction and says he learned about the Russian Deputy prime ministers views through Media Coverage and his public remarks. Okay, mary bruce, thanks very much. George, as we know it is election day. Some big races across the country. The highest stakes in virginia where both President Trump and former president obama have weighed in on the battle for governor. Our chief National Correspondent tom llamas is there at a polling station in fairfax. Tom, this race as we know is tight and some democrats are concerned they could lose a state that Hillary Clinton won. Reporter robin, thats exactly right. As you mentioned the voting is now under way here in virginia and so many are watching this race because many people believe this is going to be a bellwether for the midterm elections next year. The ads in this race have gotten very aggressive, as have the president s tweets. The president tweeted this morning from seoul about the democrat in this race who we should mention is a veteran. Heres what the president tweeted. Lets put it up there on the screen. He tweeted Ralph Northam will allow crime to be rampant in virginia. He is weak on crime, weak on our great vets, antisecond amendment. So why does President Trump care so much about this governors race . Its because, as you mentioned, he lost this state. Its the only Southern State he lost and he knows if republicans win it will be a great sign. In virginia, the tight race for governor pitting democrat and current Lieutenant Governor Ralph Northam against republican ed gillespie. Gillespie who ran the Republican National committee and has promised to keep up confederate monuments chose not to appear with President Trump on the campaign trail, something he didnt want to discuss overnight. Is there a reason you didnt campaign with the president . With this race so close both sides have used scare tactics in their political ads. Run, run, run. Reporter the Latino Victory Fund a liberal pac had to take down this ad depicting minority children running from a gillespie supporter in a pickup truck with a confederate flag. Gillespie fired back with his own ad criticizing northam for supporting restoring Voting Rights to felons including a suspected child pornographer. Im a pediatrician and for ed gillespie to say i would tolerate anyone hurting a child is despicable. Reporter so clearly this race has gotten very heated. The last time a republican won statewide office here in virginia was 2009. So a win for ed gillespie would be huge for the gop. Guys, back to you. Many will be watching. All right, thank you. New details now on that bizarre attack on kentucky senator rand paul that left him with five fractured ribs and bruised lungs. The longtime neighbor now facing charges and this morning were getting a better sense of what may have sparked that feud. Linzie janis is here with the story. Good morning. Reporter good morning. The senators Senior Adviser is calling it a serious criminal matter but a lawyer for the senators neighbor is downplaying the dispute saying it was over something most people would consider trivial. This morning, the reason behind the confrontation between senator rand paul and his neighbor of 17 years, a mystery. The republican senator telling police he was mowing his lawn in bowling green, kentucky, friday afternoon when 59yearold rene boucher allegedly came onto his property tackling him from behind. Paul suffering five broken ribs and lung contusions. The two men live in a wealthy gated community. Their properties side by side along a small lake. Boucher a retired anesthesiologist and pain specialist who invented the thermovest to treat back pain. A neighbor said hes known both men for years telling abc news the two had a lot of political differences. In a telephone interview bouchers lawyer denying it was politically motivated. That is absolutely and unequivocally untrue. Its just a very, very hugely regrettable incident. It would not happen again in a million years. Reporter he was charged with fourth degree assault. Kentucky police now assessing if further charges are warranted. If we receive medical records that will help the Commonwealth Attorney to ascertain taken whether it was a serious physical assault or the simple assault in the fourth degree which was a misdemeanor. Reporter the fbi is looking into whether the assault may have been politically motivated but this morning some reports now suggesting it may have been over landscaping. Thats one heck of an argument. Sure is. Man, those injuries are serious. They are. Thank you, linzie. Well go over to ginger with the weather and, ginger, say it aint so. Its getting cold. Hed like to bring north korea to the negotiating table, he says. We begin with that new new yorker article about Harvey Weinstein alleging he hired private investigators including former spies to try and stop the publication of abuse allegations. Well talk to the reporter, ronan farrow in a moment but first abcs linsey davis has the story. Reporter good morning. Sex, spies and audiotape. This report has all the makings of the kind of Box Office Blockbuster weinstein was known for. According to the article, weinstein spent a lot of time and money on attempted character assassinations of his accusers. This morning, a new potentially damning report in the new yorker detailing the lengths movie mogul Harvey Weinstein allegedly took in an attempt to silence his accusers. In the article published monday night contributor ronan farrow alleges that weinstein hired several of the Worlds Largest private security agencies to gain, compile and discredit information on his accusers before their allegations were made public. According to the article, two investigators from black cube, a company run by former israeli intelligence, approached and became friendly with actress rose mcgowan, one disguising herself as a womens rights advocate pressing mcgowan for information under the guise of launching an initiative to combat female discrimination in the workplace but according to farrow that woman is a former officer from the Israeli Defense forces who had been recording her conversations without mcgowans knowledge and allegedly reported her findings back to weinsteins team. The article also provides an employees account of the moments weinstein learned that the allegations against him had gone public. A female former employee tells farrow he was in a panic. He starts screaming get so and so on the phone and allegedly tells his employees to gather photos and emails showing ongoing contact between him and his accusers before he was fired saying, send these to the board members. Look, i dont want to argue with you. Youre upset. Reporter according to the article the sopranos actress Annabella Sciorra says she was also contacted but found hem to be suspicious telling farrow it scared me because i knew what it meant to be threatened by harvey. I was in fear of him finding me. Mcgowan said she felt paranoid. Everyone lied to me all the time and that for the last year she felt like she lived inside a mirrored fun house. According to the article, some of the investigation and payments and contracts went through weinsteins attorneys including david boies who represented al gore in the 2000 president ial election dispute. Guys, weinstein has continuously maintained his innocence. Thank you very much. We were joined by new yorker contribution ronan farrow. Very good to have you here. Pleasure to be here. We all have read the article and you said the investigations began last fall. Why then . Last fall and it was a combination of factors among them rose mcgowan tweeting heavily implying that Harvey Weinstein was in her words my rapist. Whoa. So he reacts to that and sets this all in motion. You know, kind of explosive allegations here but anything illegal as far as you can see . So, you know, look, im an attorney but not acting as an attorney, im a reporter so careful not to give legal advice. That said there are criminal parts, intimidation, menacing, linked to the way the women described this. They were afraid for their physical safety because this all emanated from a guy who attacked them in the past. And weinstein, a spokesman for weinstein, denied he targeted any individuals at any time. How do you respond . The body of reporting makes clear that the women have another story, the actual operatives involved in these operations have another story and all of his lawyers have another story. It appears weinstein had a real m. O. We know news organizations going back to 2000, 2002 have been trying to write articles like this so his efforts have, worked in the past. Theres even a quote in there from his private investigators from one of these files that are among the hundreds of pages of documents that we looked at saying that david carr tried to write about this and in Harvey Weinsteins view he was able to successfully intimidate him into not writing about Sexual Assault allegations. Which is something that ensure prized you in reporting on this . I think the extent of this, robin. This was a vast International Campaign using highlevel elite operatives, using fake identities, insinuating themselves into peoples lives using Front Companies as cover. This was elaborate and an area i think is expensive too. Expensive. We talk about the invoices on. Hundreds of thousands of dollars and i think its an area thats overdo for accountability because this was all conducted in secrecy by very reputable law firms and the women say thats just wrong. And you actually started to report this when you were working for nbc news and they looked at the story, chose not to publish it. Did Harvey Weinstein get to them . You know, look, i think the story makes it clear that they were focusing on everyone trying to get word out about this. Could you have imagined, ronan, when you broke the story, the Ripple Effect that it would have in this country, this movement and across various industries . You know, what the women have done coming forward in this article and now far beyond, as you say, industry after industry is something i could have never fully anticipated. Its incredibly moving and shows this is an issue thats been under the surface for too long. A deep vein thats been opened up in a big way and i hope it leads to more accountability. Stories like this often create more stories. I imagine youre getting a lot coming in. A lot coming in and some of it very, very troubling and some of it i think checking out. So its not over . It is not over and, look, that is down to the bravery of women till coming forward and men coming forward as victims. This is as you say a movement, a seismic shift. Great to have you here. Pleasure. Im sure well have you back. Absolutely. Thank you, ronan. Coming up, the alarming headline about fake apps. More than a million phones are vulnerable to hacking just this week. More than a million phones vulnerable to potential hackers this week after people downloaded a fake version of a popular messaging app and it turns out this happens more often than you may think. Gio benitez is here with more. Good morning, gio. Reporter good morning. Were talking about nearly 3. 5 million fake malicious apps out there at any time that hackers can use to see everything you do on your phones. The latest app was disguised as the popular whatsapp and google removed it got Google Play Store and suspended the developer. As youre about to see, the risk is very real. Were inside a coffee shop in washington, d. C. With a group of young people who have no idea that some of them are about to be hacked. Here we go. Reporter heres why, just this september a massive breach made headlines. One of the biggest outbreaks ever. Reporter hackers introduced 50 malicious apps also known as doppelgangers, fake apps that mirror the real thing into the Google Play Store. Then millions of unsuspecting Android Users download the bad apps, a total of 4. 2 million times. One of those apps disguised as a seemingly simple app called lovely wallpaper. You dont realize its a fake. So if you download a nasty version of minecraft, for example, you actually seem to get minecraft and it seems to work, but in the background the attackers are able to access your information. Reporter james line is a cybersecurity expert at sophos and gave android phones to all of our volunteers as part of our demonstration. We told them to use the phones as they normally would. What they dont know is james has already installed a malicious app on the phones. Now watch with the group sitting in another part of the coffee shop. We can retrieve their tech messages. There it is. Hey, its me, stunning. Theres a little emoji. Reporter next james triggers one of their cameras. He will have no idea the camera has just activated and tloos a photo of one of our users. Hi, guys. Reporter it turns out every one of our volunteers had signed into their social media accounts. Did anyone notice anything strange happening on your phones . Not realizing james had stolen all of their passwords. The person should have noticed something going on was you. Oh, was that did you take that of me while i was on my phone . Reporter while you were on the phone. Thats terrifying. Reporter this is the selfie cam. Thats scary. Reporter we decided to up the ante with one of the students taking him outside. He had no idea that inside the coffee shop tracking him now and can see where he is. Reporter james was Live Streaming his camera and pinpointing his location. He has access right now to this. Oh, no. James can even control his Text Messages. What is this . Hey, can you send me your password . I didnt text that. You didnt text that . No. But it says you did. Yeah. Reporter james says someone doesnt even have to be on their phone to be hacked. Even when you werent using the phone, we still got a picture of you. Oh, what . How . So the phone was just sitting there on the table looking right up at you. Reporter experts say the danger is far greater than just a stolen selfie. Once inside the criminals into your phone they can access user names and password, credit cards. Basically to be able to profit from your device without you knowing. Reporter and google tells us it has been tracking this particular malware for months and its constantly removing bad apps from the playstore and its added to its review procedures, but the company says it relies on the communities of users and developers to watch and find those malicious apps. Im watching that. Im so scared. I want to go back to a land line but what should people do if you already have been hacked . Its not enough to change your password. Its not enough. Once the hacker is in, the hacker is in. So really if you think you have a bad app you have to delete it and then you have to wipe your phone. You have to restore it but when youre looking at those app stores, you want to make sure youre looking at the company, the developer of that app. Make sure its a legitimate company and then download it only if you know its legit. Wow. Thanks, gio. That was very, very informative. It sure was. Coming up that major Security Breach caught on camera, a man jumping on the baggage belt at the airport running out to the tarmac. First we want to get the latest on the Church Shooting in texas. Several hundred people gathering at a prayer vigil in Sutherland Springs last night. Abcs matt gutman is there with more. Good morning, matt. Reporter hey, good morning, robin. For so many at that vigil the news was that the slaughter in that church which you can see right behind me might have been prevented. Weve learned that devin kelley, the shooter in that incident, was convicted in 2012 of child abuse and Domestic Violence. Now he was serving in the air force at the time. Spent a year in jail for doing it, but his conviction was not loaded into the national database. It should have prevented him from buying a weapon. Instead he bought multiple weapons and from survivors last night we learned how he used them going from the back of that church to the altar and back to the back methodically shooting people, anybody he thought looked alive. Now, the people in there said they didnt see his face, all they saw were his boots and all they heard was him speak once saying everybody is going to die and obviously so many did, 26 people including eight members of a single family, the holcombes, two grandparts two parents and so heartbreakingly, four grandchildren. Kelsea and be there so packing the bags and heading down with cowboy boots. But right now first and foremost, pop news time. Very high in my chair. Good morning to you all and good morning to you and we begin with this. We may not have the pleasure of seeing George Clooney very much on the big screen, in fact, ever again. Yeah, weve seen plenty of george this year between the birth of his kids and his latest directing job on the film suburbicon but where we have not seen george is playing the leading man in over a year. And that is by design. George telling the sunday times, quote, look, im not the guy that gets the girl anymore. Im first of all, george, thats just not true. Okay. I love that youre so modest but thats just not true but george says hes very comfortable being behind the camera and goes on to say that acting used to be how he paid the bills. Well, as we all know, after the billion dollar sale of his Tequila Company hes not really worrying about paying the bills anymore. So well take you, george, wherever we can get you. I bet you well see him again. I hope so. He said hes very happy he seems very happy in his life with his wife and his babies. He is singing a different tune. All right, also in pop news this morning, interesting story in the wall street journal as i was perusing this morning, george. As you often do. As i often do. A story about a new thanksgiving trend, im wondering what you guys think about it. Theyre calling it the early bird special. Seems Many Americans have chosen to celebrate thanksgiving earlier in the month. You guys do that . I see a lot of people saying yes. I actually think this sunday . Why . Thats the time everybody could get thats the thing. Thank you. Exhibit a. Yes. She is not a plant. According to this recent study this is happening more and more, in fact, the journal says shifting it from the fourth thursday of the month comes with a lot of benefits like less traffic, cheaper travel. Less competition for days off at work and sometimes the ability for more family members to all be there. Not to mention you can actually find everything you need in the Grocery Store without it looking like a fire sale the day before thanksgiving if you wait like some of us do. So interesting trend and were looking into following up on that. Thank you. A trendsetter right here. Yes, yes. And then finally in pop news this morning, Linmanuel Miranda finally took his son sebastian to see hamilton for the first time over the weekend. At least the first act of hamilton and posted that picture that youre looking at of the little guy who turns 3 on friday. And apparently sebastian had a lot of commentary for his dad. Miranda tweeting out sebastian was very worried the stairs would not come down during the opening number. Very concerned for the actors. He also rightly pointed out to the whole crowd he screamed out hes got a sword. When he first came on stage and the favorite were the scary parts, the fighting and kissing scenes. Thats scary. So all in all very positive review and just wondering how he was able to score the tickets. Good question. Still hard to get. Absolutely. But worth it. Everybody, that is pop news. Wonderful [ cheers and applause ] all right. Lets get over thousand to ginger. I want the tickets too so if you find that answer, please do let me know. Lara. We have been getting such great submissions for your gma moment. This is from mt. Juliet, tennessee, this would be loony, the dog who doesnt want his owner to eat the popcorn. Every bite this guy tries to take hes like, huhuh. He paws his arm then he takes it straight out of his hand before it gets to his mouth. Yeah. Yep. Interception of the popcorn. All right. Please do send good morning. Im meteorologist mike nicco from abc7 mornings. Bright and blue today with temperatures getting bab to average in the mid to upper 60s. Milder morning lows coming at us and the extended chances of light to moderate rain. Because of the cloud cover tonight, not as chilly as this morning, mid40s to about 53. Ready for a couple storms . Both are light on our storm impact scale. Were going now to a gma parenting alert about bullying. Thousands are rallying around a teenage who was so severely bullied he ended up in the hospital. Juju chang has his story. Good morning. Good morning, guys. You know, liam obriens parents say he suffered in silence for a year. Eventually he told them about being punched in the stomach, his face bruised. But far, far worse, he says was the inescapable Emotional Abuse which has left lasting scars. Liam obriens mom says he entered seventh grade a happy kid, excelling at soccer. He a lot of friends going into seventh grade. Lots of friends. Reporter but now a year later hes in a Medical Center being treated for depression and an eating disorder. His parents keith and deed bra obrien say its because of bullying at school. It was every single day. It could be in the locker room, in the halls. These boys targeted him and they were relentless. Reporter liams mom posting this powerful story to facebook. With over a thousand comments and counting. 2500 shares. Prompting the westandwithliam on twitter and writes it started when he made the soccer team. Two kids told him he shouldnt have made the team. He was told he was weird. He was fat. His freckles were weird. His eyebrows were weird. They used horrible language and called him nasty words. And then i said how often did they do it to you. He said every day, mom every single day. For an entire yearly yam didnt tell anyone. Slowly liam gave up his phone, stopped seeing friends and lost interest in soccer. His parents say he started eating less and lost ten pounds in a month. In september, he had a feeding tube put in. And entered an intensive eating disorder program. We were terrified. He was just never the type of kid that i thought in pie wildest dreams would have been bullied. Bullying can have devastating effects on kids. It hurt peoples selfesteem and affects their grades and causes increase in depression, eating disorder. Reporter the school opened an investigation but told the family they found no evidence of bullying. I thought when i sent my children to these schools that they were safe. Reporter the obriens filed a claim. The first step in a lawsuit against the Garden City School district. Now the district telling abc news they were deeply saddened to learn of a recent issue of bullying shared on social media. We are jointly attempting to further improve upon the resources and programs available to move toward the elimination of all forms of bullying in our schools as quickly as possible. While a lot of kids immediately report bullying, child psychologists tell us its quite common for kids to hide it and clearly the obriens are engaged parents and you can see how easy it is to miss some of those signs. I was three sons. They often dont talk and those signs are very important to look for. Social isolation, he stopped hanging out with friends and dropped his passions and stopped playing soccer and all those things are things parent should look out for. We want to wish liam a healthy recovery both physically and emotionally. We have a surprising story about a man who turned what he called his side hustle reselling items from clearance racks into a successful company. Becky worley has his secrets. Shes going to tell them now. Reporter buy sale items and sell them at a profit but one savvy shopper turned that straightforward idea into big business and he says, you can too. This is ryan grant. Former job accountant. I would say about six months into that job i realized this wasnt the path for me. Reporter but he learned the basics of business, buy low, sell high. And with that idea started a parttime job that he says now generates almost 4 million in revenue. The 28yearold who lives in minneapolis found sale items in walmart, target, toys r us then used the amazon seller app to compare them to online prices. Hed buy low, list on amazon, sell high and repeat. I was able to get that to about a thousand dollars a month in profit working about ten hours a week. Reporter that made him confident enough to quit his accounting job. Now he says he has a warehouse full of boxes, a staff of 11 people and he says you can do it too. Okay. Lets try it. Ive already installed the amazon seller app. It took me like five minutes online. So now all i have to do is go into the store, find some clearance items and then take them home and sell them online hopefully at a profit. Sure enough, i fire up the amazon seller app and then it has this camera. Using that i scan the bar code for this toy that cost 4 dis here in the store. Online its selling for 9. 49. Thats a profit. These pens, buy it for 10, sell it online and make over 5 profit. Finally tire chains. 25 in store, but listed online for 59. Even after i take into account amazon fees and shipping costs, i profit about 15. After a few months of learning what sells and how to factor in those shipping costs, ryan thinks you could make 1,000 to 2,000 doing this part time. I do think its something anyone can do if youre willing to put in the work. Ryan says hes making about 15 profit on sales of roughly 4 million. He only pays himself 60,000 in salary but i see how you could make money in this. I listed my items right from my phone. It took me 60 seconds per thing im selling. I tan to make 35 bucks in profit in my little smallscale test. Its not 4 million but its a start. No, but its something. Now, i guess its this app must make all the difference. Weve had craigslist and ebay and people didnt seem to do it. Its all about that phrase youve read before fulfillment by amazon. He buys in bulk and males everything to an amazon warehouse. They deal with all the shipping to customers. Ebay and craigslist doesnt do that. Now to an Incredible Group using exercise to help heal from Breast Cancer. Physic physically, mentally and emotionally. A recent study shows exercise can help reduce the side effects of chemotherapy and this group is proof it can do so much more. Friendship, strength, hope. Theres a bond that brings these women closer together and is not just Early Morning row practice. Im bridget and i have Breast Cancer. Im jill and i have Breast Cancer. Im natalie and am a breast and Ovarian Cancer survivor. Reporter o. W. Stands for recovery on water. A nonprofit in chicago that brings current Breast Cancer patients and survivors together for rowing lessons free of charge. Since they go through an experience where they feel like they lose control of their body, its a way for them to gain that power back and to have a proactive way of keeping cancer at bay. It makes a difference to be surrounded by people that understand your experience. We can talk about arm bands and, oh, we can talk about what medicine are you on. Im tired too. We can have that kind of wanter then lets get in the water and row. Reporter Research Shows that working out during treatment may not only change the level of hormones linked to Breast Cancer but it also decreases nausea, fatigue and emotional distress. It can also decrease body fat and provide cardiovascular benefits which may prolong survival. It really helps not only emotionally but the whole body. I have lymphedema in both my arms and its gotten much better sense i started this. My cancer spread up in my brain. My last couple of scans were pretty good so i can only think that, you know, this is helping me. Im not sitting around feeling sorry for myself. Definitely not. You know, im out like doing it. How i love that group of women. Jen ashton is here. Dr. Jen ashton and so tell us how exercise can actually lower Breast Cancer. So, we dont know for sure but there are a couple of theories here and i want to do a little demonstration to really drive that. Thats why were stepping back. Less a little bleach so dont try it at home. And this is a rental. [ laughter ] so the first theory with exercise really has to do with inflammation and insulin. Insulin can be a good thing in small amounts. In large amounts not a good thing. Pouring in exercise, it neutralizing the effect of inflammation and insulin on driving cancer. Second theory has to do with hormones and fat so body fat produces estrogen. Some is good. Too much not so good. So again if you think of this as exercise, it helps to neutralize the effects of that fat and estrogen on certain types of Breast Cancers and the third one has to do with a substance called sex hormone binding globulin and think of it as the transporter of extree general so, again, this is the exercise, it actually increases so it doesnt make it disappear but increases this sex hormone binding globulin and leaves less estrogen working around to work on the breast. So what type of exercise are we talking about . We saw in that piece rowing. Thats obviously cardiovascular has been shown to reduce the risk of recurrence and to prolong survival and in some studies reduced the risk of Breast Cancer to begin with so you want to get your cardio in and, of course, we know about the endorphins that can help with head to toe wellness but any type of exercise is so important, robin. You want to do resistance training and do weights and in women recovering from surgery, range of motion, yoga, stretching, all really important for healing the entire body. Remember, its about not just a body part its about head to toe and the whole organism. Who should do it. Women who have been diagnosed definitely. Did you find it difficult to get moving when you were battling it was difficult because we were bloated because of all the medication. Exhausted. All of those things but, you know, because i was very active before and my doctor said, no, it did not prevent me from getting Breast Cancer but, boy, did it help me in fighting it. And the recovery. I think who should do it. If youve been diagnosed check with your doctor if youve had surgery or undergoing chemo. Even if its sitting on a sofa and moving your legs, the care givers, men, the offspring, everyone. I know its so difficult, Breast Cancer is not one size fits all but if you can get up and move and do that, please, please, please, all right, jen, thanks. Will ferrell is here live. Come on back. Nice to see you. Come on in. Good to see you, buddy. I brought you guys a present. Thats so generous. Really nice of you. Just to get you guys in the Holiday Season i brought you guys a present. This is what everyone gets in their dressing room and we have a lame everyone has to take a bite of something. Wow. Go ahead. He loves his apple. One in the morning. Thank you. I want that one. What . Are you going to have anything . Im not going to eat that stuff. No way. We got daddys home sequel and loved the first one. [ applause ] loved it. And there was a great dance scene in that movie. Youve been in a movie with dance moves, night at the roxbury. Right there. There you go. Im curious. I dont know if you call that dancing necessarily. But youve danced in these movies. Which dance is closest to you in real life . I think any dance. I mean i just like to move my body and i think the audiences like to see that. Im getting two thumbs up over there. [ applause ] one back there. Four people gave me thumbs up. If you had to dance, the inner essence, your soul, what would that movement be . That movement would probably be Something Like oh, my goodness. No youre not. We dont have any music, do we . Probably be like. Stayin alive stayin alive ah, ah, ah, stayin alive stayin alive ah, ah, ah stayin alive oh. Right . I dont know where whether thats really appropriate. Its slow tour. Exactly, right. Its from the stephanopoulos playbook. Right from it. Theres a reason i ask because theres this survey that was conducted by twirlywoos. Of course. Same people who created teletubbies and did a thing about dad dancing and weve had some of our audience members here in our studio who were doing some dad dancing and they found there we go. Get in there, fellas. Oh. Oh. [ applause ] line dancing. [ applause ] right there, baby. They found that the most popular that was good, by the way, sir. They found that the most popular the top of the list was the saturday night fever dance and air guitar are the most popular dad dancings. A little cliche. George, we never see you dance. You are not going to see me dance. Trying for a decade. Also the navel orange maybe. Have you ever done the ymca dance even by yourself . Oh, youve done it. Thats the most popular one. There you go. Im sure the robot is probably on that list. We would probably fall back and do the robot. Thats a go to. Always a go to. But they found with kids 37 say they felt embarrassed by their dads moves on the dance floor. Only 30 . I would have thought 87 . 30 said thought their dads dance badly on purpose just to embarrass them. [ laughter ] 40 said seeing their father dance is among their favorite memories of their dads which i think is special. Thats good. 60 said they loved dancing with their father as a child and great for every father out there to remember, and kids at age 13 said their dads just flatout embarrassed them but by 30 they loved the move. They were endeared to the moves so i think its very important to dance with your kids. Dance with your kids. And dont be ashamed. Thats right. Let your inner essence come out. And take your kids to see daddys home 2. You should. You should. Im serious. [ applause ] i enjoyed it. Loved the first one. Loved the second one even more and you im having a sugar low right now. Just need a Little Something. Uhhuh. Im back. Im back. Yes. [ cheers and applause ] how was it your father son relationship in this film, you have a very special father. Very special. I have the lovely and masterful john lithgow plays my father and we are very emotionally available to each other. There you go. Every time we see each other we kiss on the lips which was my suggestion. [ laughter ] but, yeah, its in fact, that scene you just saw was literally the first day of filming that my kids visited the set. So i didnt tell them that i would be kissing this other actor. How did they handle it . They were laughing so hard and at the same time they were like, ah. Thats so embarrassing. How do you do it . How do you that . They couldnt believe it. They thought i said, well, im paid a handsome amount of money. So, yeah. [ cheers and applause ] you know. But i support along with supporting dad dancing i support dads openly showing affection to their kids. Thank you. Thank you. I agree, 100 , man. There are a lot of different parenting styes but what kind of parent would you say you are . What would your kinds say about your parenting style . They would i call myself the velvet hammer. Interesting. Very strict. Bedtime at 6 00 p. M. Ooh. No beverages with any sort of meal. Just have to eat your food dry. Gulp it down. No, i mean, what would you expect . Im their dad. Yeah. A lot of fun. I surprise them every now and then with, no, you cant do that. What . So occasionally you have to show that you do have some sort of control of your kids. But do you have control over the thermostat . This is a little clip from i think a lot of dads you can relate to. Lets take a look. What is going on . Adrianna, she turned up the thermostat. She said did it with the thermostat at your place any damn time she pleases. Tell me thats not true. Oh, criminy dusty. You might as well give her your wallet and your 401 k . Do you let the kids touch the thermostat at your house . No, the thermostat is a sacred covenant. I cant believe were even talking about this. This is madness youre right. Youre absolutely right. Every day. Our argument at our house is were lucky enough to have a pool so my wife and i battle over the temperature of heating the pool. They want it 95, right . I would take 95. She wants it 98. Its more like a bath. Thats a hot tub. Its like you immediately fall asleep, yeah. A pool should be refreshing. I mean, arent we in agreement . Yeah. [ applause ] so the thermostat, get different zones for the house. Thats what i do, no arguing. You have your own. Leave mine alone. But this movie is a sequel and one of my favorite movies of all time is stepbrothers. I laugh every time its on i got to stop on it. There is a rumor that was going to be a sequel, as well. Is that going to happen and if not, what was the plot, give it to us. The plot we were thinking about doing was that john our parents move to Retirement Community and we convince them that we could also live in the Retirement Community. Oh. Youve got to do that. Youve got to do that. Thats gold. Thats gold. So well see. You cant tease us. You have to do it. So many. What about talladega nights. Plaus [ applause ] theres so many to choose from. Ive been lucky. Yeah, ive been lucky ive been able to make a number of movies that people want to see sequels of but but theres only so much of you. Only so much of me. And you got to dance. I have to dance. I have to kiss other men. Not that theres anything wrong with that. No, not at all. We remember saturday night live. Its been a while. 15 years. 15 years. So do you have a trump . I dont have a trump, no. No. Sorry. You dont need to. I dont have one. Move on. Anybody have a trump . I dont have one in my repertoire. Yeah. When you think back to your repertoire, do you have a character that was the most fun for you to play . Well, it was very fun to play a president on a show like saturday night live when all eyes, you know, are watching. I loved, you know, the cheerleaders with cheri oteri. And i loved [ applause ] lover. Oh, with yes. I loved that professor clarvin i believe his name was. Always in a hot tub but never clothed. Never clothed. You two remember that. Not even for the sketch. Yeah. But you know you sat here and said so many people want to see things that ive done twice and youre lucky. Youre not lucky. Youre talented. Thats what it is. Dont make me cry, michael. I agree. [ applause ] 100 . I know, i know. Hes a good man. Hes a good man. And we are lucky enough to see you in daddys home 2. Thank you. More stars than usual were the ballroom last night. A chance to return the hot trio of dances. Two of our favorites were sent home and it is i hate seeing you guys under this circumstance. We have the great Terrell Owens and cheryl burke with us, everyone. [ applause ] i was watching last night. I really thought you guys had turned the tide. Your charleston was unbelievable. I dont know if you were watching but you did not know how to do the dance in the beginning of the week. You would never have known it watching. You even got len to smile. Yeah, thats difficult. Thats a bigger accomplishment. That was huge. And even bigger, cheryl gave you props. Right. Even bigger. Yeah. So what do you think it was . They seemed happy. The scores were great. What happened . I think what a lot of people dont know we were judged based on last weeks the team dance and we really didnt do that well. We got 8s and the other team we were in the bottom last week so so people didnt forget. I dont think so. Also its all from last week so these scores last night would be for next weeks votes. Oh, i got you. Exactly. Yeah, so its because we were in the bottom of the leaderboard i think our tango and team dance all 8s didnt help. Right, exactly. I kind of had a feeling it could have been us but was hoping it wasnt. She had a feeling every week. Oh, my god, this is it. This is it. Exactly, it was. Was supposed to motivate you and talked about len being happy. He said of all the celebrities you improved the most. Cheryl, how did you bring out the inner dancer in t. O. . You know, i think terrell is just a hard worker and this is why i love working with athletes because they dont take anything i say too personal and im pretty tough, you know, im hard core but thats because i see potential in terrell and knew he had in it in him so i just kept fighting until i got it and i had no idea we were going to make it all the way to week eight to be honest so im super proud of him. We did too. You did great. [ applause ] i got to say, terrell, weve known you throughout the years, ive never seen this side of you. We even saw you tear up on the show. Are you surprised at how sort of vulnerable you allowed yourself to be during this process . No, i feel like ive always been that way, but, you know, football doesnt really allow people to see that side of me. Ive done it a few times but i mean football is more of a masculine its more of a macho type of sport. So, again, my passion, i showed it when i was in between the lines. Michael and i yeah. Yeah. Really . I remember messing with you in San Francisco. You came back and right. Exactly. That was a game i mentioned that game in our package when we were down like 25 points and we came back i didnt realize that was against yeah, the giants. Dont bring it up. Oh, it was against michael. You should have said that from the beginning and i would be like, oh, i get it. Right, right. So somebody who really gets it was your trio partner last night, the winner of season 1. Kelly monaco recorded Something Special for you. Oh. Did she . I am so proud of you guys, i think that you did an amazing job. You made it so far in this competition and i want to thank you so much for giving me the time of my life with being included in the trio dance with the two of you. And terrell, i think youre the 10.
