Air force Officials Say they failed to submit information about the suspect Devin Kelleys convictions to the fbi. Law enforcement Officials Say it was an administrative error. Kelley was convicted of Domestic Violence for abusing his then wife and stepson. If the conviction information was entered into the National Instant criminal background system it would have prevented the sale of the firearms that kelly bought and used in the attack. Now, the air force has launched a review into how kelleys criminal records were handled. Thats when police say a black sedan pulled up, someone got out and shot the 17yearold boy who was standing in a group. Friends shared this photo and identify him as lawrence jansen. As soon as i heard i came down here and sat here. Ive been sitting here for an hour here. Reporter calvin says jansen has his friend and fellow student at olympic. Sky 7 shows where the teen ran on to campus after being shot. A janitor found him, staff tried to treat his wounds but he later died at the hospital. He was a cool guy. I dont know, he was at my house the other day, too, i was just hanging out with him. Reporter officers say the teen was targeted and shot multiple times. Bystanders had to duck for cover as a bullet went into a nearby office. Police are still looking for the shooter. As a large group gathered for a candlelight vigil to mourn the loss. Bar tell is on administrative leave from Walnut Creek School where he taught science. The search continues for two Santa Clara County inmates who escaped from a palo alto courthouse. Tramel mclow and john bivins are accused of two armed robberies. Officials say they were in a hallway when they broke away, went in through analogy emergency exit and got into a waiting car yesterday. They ditched the car a few blocks away and took off in a cargo van. Investigators later found their restraints and this handcuff key. He was going through the rows to see who was shot and who wasnt. Rosanne who is still recovering from a bullet wound watched the shooting spree in horror. This morning more information about the killer. Military records show the former airman was convicted of Domestic Violence for abusing his then wife and 11 month old stepson. That record should have stopped him from being able to buy the murder weapon, but the air force admits they never gave the information to the fbi which maintains the database used for the background check. He also hired a freelance journalist to sbeer view his accusers and report back to him. A man accused of killing kate steinle will show video at a distance of pier 14. They brought in a firearms expert to bolster its case that the shooting was an accident. The prosecution maintains Jose Garcia Zarate aimed the gun at steinle who was 90 feet away, the bullet ricocheted from where he was sitting then traveled and hit steinle in the back. The firearms expert says its not likely a person could aim a gun at someone and hit the target if the bullet ricocheted first. Sonoma county supervisors and the Santa Rosa City council will meet jointly to tackle recovery, housing and homelessness. Longterm Affordable Housing has become such a big issue since last months fires destroyed thousands of homes. City and county leaders are expected to discuss using tax revenue to rebuild. With the homeless rate three times the National Average they are expected to discuss a possible redesign in the way the government provides services. The Luther Burbank center for the arts in santa rosa will resume performances on thursday despite suffering fire damage. We visited the center last week. The main auditorium survived the flames but an east wing filled with classrooms and a smaller auditorium did not. Seven employees lost their homes and the center had to cancel half a dozen shows.
