This enormous three alarm structure fire wasnt the only fire they had to face. It threw quite a few embers in the air which started about 15 different spot fires behind us here. Reporter firefighters worried about what was burning in the Metal Recycling warehouse and what they were breathing. Canisters of used oil. There are numerous tanks in there, propane tanks. They said they had a couple of pallets of lead batteries. Reporter after they put out the huge flames firefighters wore masks as they dealt with hot spots. A fast moving fire destroyed two buildings in almeida this morning. It happened around 7 00 on central avenue. The fire started on one home and quickly spread next door. Firefighters kept the flames from reaching an Apartment Building on the other side. Seven people have been displaced. The red cross is helping them find a new place to stay. Cal fire still doing work on the tesla fire near livermore. It is now 60 contained. The wildfire has burned 2,500 acres. That fire did spread right up to homes but the only ones destroyed were empty. Investigators are trying to figure out what triggered an explosion last night that momentarily cut power to Shania Twains concert.
