CHILLICOTHE — The thought of winning a brand new car is enough to make most kids jump with joy but for this year's Keys to Success grand prize winner it was also bittersweet as he lost his brother in 2019 to a drug overdose.
For the past six years, the Keys to Success program has worked to encourage students at Chillicothe High School to stay drug-free, earn passing grades and be a good citizen — which means staying out of trouble, going to school and finding ways to give back to the community. For taking the pledge, Chillicothe High School senior Tanner Sever was eligible for a number of prizes including gift cards, scholarships and a new car from Herrnstein KIA.
