Kevin McCarthy vows House will vote on one-year debt hike

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said Monday that Republicans will not vote to pass a “clean” debt ceiling increase, opting instead for a House bill that will limit federal borrowing to one year and reduce government spending.
