Ketchy the Great, the Los Angeles rapper best known as a member of the Stinc Team alongside Drakeo the Ruler, has died. His management confirmed the news to Pitchfork. Further details surrounding his death are currently unknown.
Born Jameon Davis, Ketchy made his name in L.A.âs underground rap scene. He appeared on multiple songs by fellow Stinc Team members like Drakeo and Ralfy the Plug. Ketchy was arrested in 2018 for spray painting graffiti in his and Ralfy the Plugâs video for âThe Right Decision.â Because Stinc Team has been labeled a gang by the Los Angeles County District Attorney, he was charged with vandalism with a gang enhancement and witness intimidation with gang enhancement. He ultimately spent two years and 10 months in prison. âIt was a bunch of bullshit,â Ketchy said of the charges in a December interview on the PALM podcast.
