Kentucky's education leaders and teachers had plenty to talk about with students after Wednesday's violent riots and storming of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.
Rioters supporting President Donald Trump broke through police lines and breached the Capitol building in hopes of thwarting President-elect Joe Biden's victory via the certification of the Electoral College by Congress.
On Thursday, Kentucky Education Commissioner Jason Glass said public schools "have a critical civic responsibility to prepare students, which means also preparing them to understand and work to resolve the kinds of complex and messy problems citizens ultimately must decide in the United States."
