GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Following public backlash, Kent County is renegotiating its $12,000 a day lease for DeVos Place convention center, the site of a large-scale COVID-19 vaccination clinic the county’s hosting with Spectrum Health and Mercy Health Saint Mary’s.
“Those numbers are going to come down,” said Kent County Administrator Wayman Britt, referencing the $12,000 daily fee which drew criticism from some members of the Kent County Board of Commissioners.
