With no prospect of a stud career, Australia’s best bred gelding - Nordicus - is going to have to race his way to breaking even with his lofty $900,000 price tag starting at Kensington on Thursday.
Nordicus, a son of Triple Crown winner Dundeel out of Golden Slipper and VRC Oaks winner Miss Finland, resumes in today’s Longines Sprint (1150m) for trainer Anthony Cummings.
Cummings has had the horse for four of his eight runs having taken over from original trainer, Bjorn Baker.
