Kennebunk grad a screenwriter for new Liam Neeson film 'The Marksman'
KENNEBUNK, Maine – "The Marksman," a new film starring Liam Neeson, partly takes place in Arizona, but its screenplay has roots right here in Kennebunk.
The thriller, which is being released worldwide in theaters this Friday, Jan. 15, was written by Chris Charles, a 2002 graduate of Kennebunk High School, in partnership with two other writers.
Charles now lives in Wisconsin. He and his business partner, John Bosher, own and operate a production firm, Throughline Films, based in Illinois. During an interview this week, Charles traced his artistic journey back to Kennebunk, where his family moved from out of state in 1987 when he was 4 years old.
