A passenger arriving in Kelowna on a WestJet flight out of Calgary was greeted by Kelowna RCMP earlier this month for allegedly smoking in the aircraft's washroom.
A preliminary civil aviation daily occurrence report issued by Transport Canada on Feb. 15, said Kelowna tower was notified that a WestJet Encore Dash-8 arriving from Calgary requested the assistance of the RCMP due to an onboard passenger who was smoking in the bathroom.
Kelowna RCMP media spokesperson Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy says police were called to Kelowna International Airport on Feb. 9 at approximately 10 p.m. after being notified of a disruptive passenger on an incoming WestJet flight from Calgary.
