Orr captured an NCAA Division III title in 2015.
SUNY Cortland women’s lacrosse head coach Kelly Orr is stepping down from her position with the Red Dragons after seven years. A search will be conducted in the near future for her successor.

Orr came to Cortland in the 2014-15 school year and posted a combined record of 85-20 (.810). Her 2020 campaign was cut short after three games due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and she was out on maternity leave in the spring of 2021 and did not coach during the season.

Orr was named the IWLCA Division III National Coach of the Year, Empire Region Coach of the Year, ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year and SUNYAC Coach of the Year in 2015 after guiding the Red Dragons to a 22-1 record and the NCAA Division III title. Cortland finished 21-1 in 2016, winning its first 21 games before falling in the national semifinals. In all, Orr’s teams won four SUNYAC titles and made four NCAA tournament appearances.
