TIFTONÂ â Tift County Commissioner Melissa Hughes told the board of county commissioners she still needs more coats for her coat drive this holiday season.
The Keep 'Em Warm drive needs coats that are new or gently used, and all used coats will be cleaned at Kellyâs Cleaners, a big supporter of the drive.
By mid-December, Hughes said she normally has more than 1,000 coats; however, this year she only has about 50 coats donated. In a time when families are hurting more than ever, Hughes said she hopes to see more coat donations.
