Kate Winslet has spoken out about her daughter Mia's acting career. 
The actress, 45, who shares Mia with her first husband Jim Threapleton, appeared on Lorraine on Monday, where she detailed Mia's career and explained that due to the fact they have different surnames she has managed to flourish on her own merit. 
She said: 'What’s great for her is she has a different surname so she slipped under the radar and the people who cast her didn’t know she was my daughter and that was important for her self-esteem of course.'
