In a huge relief for students, many universities have announced the cancellation of second, fourth and sixth (for engineering) semester exams and will instead grade pupils on internal assessments and marks obtained in previous semesters.

BENGALURU: In a huge relief for students, many universities have announced the cancellation of second, fourth and sixth (for engineering) semester exams and will instead grade pupils on internal assessments and marks obtained in previous semesters.
The varsities include Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Bangalore University, Bengaluru City University and Bengaluru North University. However, final semester exams will be held.
“Results of the second, fourth, and sixth semesters of BE/BTech/BPlan, eighth semester of BArch, second semester of MArch/MBA/ MTech, second and fourth semester MCA and MTech (parttime), will be processed as per guidelines issued by UGC/AICTE/Government of Karnataka with approval of the university authorities,” said a note from VTU.
