Karan Kundrra has long been absent from TV. He was last seen in the film Dolly, Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare. And now, he is all set to make his comeback on TV. he will soon be making his entry in Yeh Rishtaa Kya Kehlata Hai, where he will play Shivangi Joshi's new character, Sirat's former love interest, Ranveer. Now, he has opened up about the character and about his decision to make a comeback.

Talking to Spotboye, Karan talked about his character and said, “My character Ranveer will affect the relationship between Kartik (Mohsin Khan) and Sirat (Shivangi Joshi). I decided to accept this role, because it is different in many ways. My character has a lot of layers. And earlier I have just done romantic characters, so this is not just a romantic character, there are many aspects and many shades to his personality which will come out as the show progresses."
