Following concerns arising from the just-concluded governorship and State Assembly elections, the Kano State Islamic police or Hisbah Board has deployed personnel to mosques to ensure the safety of lives and property during the holy month of Ramadan. The board in a statement issued on Thursday by its spokesman, Ibrahim Lawan, warned that those who engage in societal vices during the sacred month will be punished and no one would be spared.
