Nine individuals accused in the murder case of Udaipur tailor Kanhaiya Lal, who was hacked to death in June 2022 for allegedly supporting a social media post against Islam, had charges framed against them, including under the anti-terror law UAPA. The accused, Mohammad Riyaz and Mohammad Gause, filmed the act and posted it online. Charges were framed under various IPC sections and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
