It's a sunny day in Annasagaram village in Tamil Nadu's Dharmapuri. It's around 11.30 am and a crowd starts to form around a small house. The founder of Makkal Needhi Maiyam (MNM), Kamal Haasan is going to visit Sivagamani Ammal, who was part of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose's army. Packed in narrow streets, the excitement in the crowd is palpable. An old man tells his neighbour that he loved Kamal Haasan ever since he was a child artiste in Kalathur Kannamma.
