Kalamazoo man crashes motorcycle in Holland while trying to flee police with other bikers

HOLLAND, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo man was injured in a motorcycle crash while trying to outrun police in Holland Tuesday evening.
Ottawa County authorities say the 31-year-old was with a group of bikers heading out of Holland State Park at high speeds at around 6:30 p.m.. When sheriff’s deputies tried to pull them over, they sped up even more. The Kalamazoo man crashed his bike, while the others continued to flee.
The chase was called off and the man was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries and then later to jail. The incident remains under investigation as they try to locate the other bikers involved in the chase.
