Jury selection is under way in the trial of Salamah Pendleton, accused of murder in the 2020 shooting death of Grand Forks police officer Cody Holte.
Attorneys questioned dozens of potential jurors this (Tue) morning and afternoon, dismissing some who said they would have difficulty being impartial.
Defense attorney Steven Mottinger asked many potential jurors about their opinions on firearms.
Pendleton is facing two counts of murder…three counts of attempted murder… and single counts of criminal mischief…terrorizing…reckless endangerment…and possession with intent to deliver/manufacture marijuana.
Authorities say Pendleton opened fire in a south Grand Forks apartment, killing Holte, who was 29. Pendleton’s 61-year old mother was also killed.
