20-year old Andrey Esipenko was top seed in the first tournament of this year's Julius Baer Challenge and he lived up to his role: With two draws and 13 wins, he finished clear first with 41 from 45 possible points (winning a game in the Julius Bär Challenge yielded 3 points).
